Deets Posted January 18, 2020 Report Posted January 18, 2020 So... dude I bought the bike from failed to mention that he put a timing plate in when I asked for ALL of the mods he did. so now I have this one that I don’t need. Unless it fits a blaster too? Wishful thinking probly Quote

trickedcarbine Posted January 20, 2020 Report Posted January 20, 2020 Is the one on the bike cast or billit? If it’s cast, definitely put the Mattoon one on there. Quote
Deets Posted January 20, 2020 Report Posted January 20, 2020 It is a cast one on there now. Junk? Quote

Some times the bolt hole eyelets crack and then let the plate loose. Then it bounces off the stator and flywheel. It can get pricey real quick. Quote
Deets Posted January 22, 2020 Report Posted January 22, 2020 Thanks, I’ll get it swapped out. There is a line in the casting, I’m assuming that is where you orientate the timing from. Quote

The line where the case halves meet is what you dial the plate to. +4 is pretty widely used on pump gas motors with out a ton of compression. You have a real flywheel puller, right? Quote

Jocelyn lapointe Posted December 22, 2020 Report Posted December 22, 2020 Is someone know the bolt size for the pick up coil because I will need 2! When I try to unscrew the pickup coil from the oem plate I stripped the bolt and need to know the size and thread and length of the bolt? Quote
