ringadingding
I bought a set of klemm pipes a while ago and was just wondering if anyone has heard about them. Are they low mid or high, do they work best with stock motors or worked, they seem to pull ok but drop out of powerband between 5th & 6thgears, motor is stock except v force3, snorkel removed and jetted to suit pipes, stock gearing& tyres. I was also told by the guy who sold them to me that the mufflers don't increase horse power so I'm running the stock mufflers. Is this true or is he full of crap. The only other thing I know about these pipes is they are an old pipe made about 20 years ago. Can anyone tell me from the pic what these pipes most resemble. Any help would be much appreciated. FireHead
I have not ever seen them before. I have heard of Klemm research though. Back in the days of threewheelers, Klemm was one of the best names in the business for race engines and pipes. I am sure they are great if he put his name on them. They are certainly unique. I am not sure if Klemm is still in business making parts. I think I saw that he owned a motorcycle dealership somewhere. Banchetta
Stockers weigh about 5-8lbs more than they need to be and will restrict air flow...Get some decent tail pipes, shave some weight, let the headers breath, and you'll have yourself and really nice set of paper weights after...

Yeah, there is only one Klemm Research that I know of. He was the guy to go to for Kawasaki trike stuff. I agree with Banchetta about the silencers. If you ever feel the need to get rid of those pipes give me a shout.
dajogejr
I bet those pipes get it pretty good...they look pretty open. I'd say somewhat close in design to an inframe Shearer, wouldn't you say firehead? I'd bet your bike doesn't have enough nuts to pull those pipes in 5th and 6th gear. I bet you drop the boat anchor stock silencers and get a little port work done, that bike would rip pretty good...
