smoknbanshee
so; stock, then 350 mod, then pro stock, in theory should be slow to fast ? No, from slowest to fastest in theory is this. stock, pro stock, 350 mod. If that is not the way it goes, the rules have been posted incorrectly. 350 mod allows out of frame drag pipes, longer swing arms, override trannies. etc.
methyman
If I remeber correctly Jeff allowed a cool head. He said it doesnt make that much difference.
375hp banshees
If I remeber correctly Jeff allowed a cool head. He said it doesnt make that much difference. yes he did, just didn't know if it'll change next month the 350 mod spec's were incomplete & I thought prostock said aftermarket (cyl's but it says cyl. head)
methyman
Next race stock head for stock class. I just talked to Jeff and he did it for that race. So you better get some porting to fit into the pro mod class.
methyman
The tech department will be hard at work next race checking the bikes more carefully. Edited March 4, 2007 by methyman
535banshee
The tech department will be hard at work next race checking the bikes more carefully. for next race we will be following these rules to the tee. also i will be looking for kill switchs. the next race you will stop at the starter stand before you go into the pits to get a tech card. you will fill this card out and then go to tech. after tech you will give this card to me in the starter stand to pay for your entree. it is REALLY IMPORTANT that you guys listen to your class to be called to staging. i will be at the track next weekend to install a pa speaker in the staging lanes. we will also be turning the pa speakers on the pit side into the pit area so everyone can hear better. you will have 5 mins to get to staging for the running of your class. you you are not there after i close the lanes you will take a lose. if you guys can do this like i ask i can fit a break in the racing for track prep and more time for you racers to tune. i am making these rules for you guys not for me. i want to see everyone on the track threw out the day and for everyone get time to make repairs. i am working on getting lights for the track so we can run into the night. these lights will also allow us to run a friday night TNT. i am doing everything a can to make sure you racers are happy and want to come back for the next race. please just give use some time to work out all the bugs. i will be working hard to make this track better for our next event. i do need some help at the track. i am looking for some people to help with staging and inside the starter stand. i would like some help from non-racers so you can be there just for staff stuff. So you better get some porting to fit into the pro mod class. that just knocked 95% of everybody in the stock class up, except methy's (son I think) & now he can't race either because not enough in his class to run against :: ...how does A cool head give you an advantage? ...I know your adopting set rules but I don't think any- body from GA will travel this far w/ A stock shee... just a thought, let us know, i don't know if I wan't to swap heads back or pay only to run 2 x & guarentee not to win in the pro mod class... i would rather come to test &tune anyway for now, to get used to it... I don't care about winning just having fun w/ fellow racers/BHQers
methyman
You can get your stock head modified to run better than a cool head. I under stand your problem. I guess the track adopted the GA. rules so it would make things easier I guess. Need to give Jeff a call about this. I love to race, so does my son. He is 12 yrs old and just races for the fun of it. He just loves to race. Hell him and I were out racing today in the sand practicing near my house. He was on the Banshee and me on my 04 YFZ450. dynodon
I agree, A stock head can be modified ( milled) to perform better than a coolhead !! I think a coolhead should be allowed to run, BUT, If a certain bike contantly wins that class, It will be torn down by the track to tech it !!!!!! ( for cheaters)
