That would be cool. What about the bike ???????

oh yeah that too... gota do something different though joe w/ stock tires ran better times than me :shoothead: whats the next class up from stock, it looked like A big jump... I will be porting & maybe carbs later, but don't want to go w/ drag port... It didn't look like I would have A chance unless I went really radical?

The next class up would be a 350 mod class, Which allows port, carb work, +2 swinger

But NO override, alky.

If you want all the class break downs I can get them for ya, or Call Jeff 239-256-2616

As far as times go, he may have had a better tree than you, MOST races are won or lost at the tree !!

I know I had shitty RT, But fortunately, I was able to run them down

I'm talking time only, his et's were better

stock banshee class, basically is what is says.

pro stock banshee, no port work, +2 swinger, bolt on parts, no out of frame drag pipes.

350 mod class, stock cylinder, port work, wheelie bar, out of frame drag pipes.

outlaw, aftermarket cylinders, run what ya brung, and hope ya brought enough.

the ones last week in the pro stock were ported

If his ET`s were better that doesnt mean his bike is faster, The thing maybe your reaction time at the tree

needs to be faster .

There was one bike that I questioned in that class, about being ported. But I wasnt running that class, so I cannot protest it, another racer would have to do that.

But if that bike continually wins that class, the track can and will tear it down to see if its legal or not!!

I am sure your biggest issue is the pro tree, With some practice it gets EASIER. But theu may change the tree for the other classes. We still have to hold a meeting to discuss things to be worked on before the next race .

i think something is wrong with dave and gary's bikes. i probably weigh a good 100lbs more than those guys and i still had lower et's on oem dunlop tyres, and they have paddles.

so whats the deal with protesting? i dont want to be one of those guys who gets mad about losing but one of the banshees in the stock class really did seem to have something going on, maybe some port work. in the future, what happens if someone protests?

yeah, you can run a faster et, but get holeshot and lose. I holeshot tony on one of my bad passes. ran a 4.01 tree 4.15 et to his .600 tree 4.08 et. and won. I made up .2 of a second at the light, so he would of had to run an et of .2 or faster to beat me.

i doubt any bike in the stock class had port work. they seemed to run comparible in my opinion. the only person that can protest would be the person in the class, and trust me, i would call it if i thought it was legit. that is not a matter of being a sore loser, it is a matter of catching a cheater or not. can't be a sore loser if you have someone cheating to win in my opinion.

on the other hand there is no way anyone is going to be able to protest if they don't get started earlier. getting started on time is very critical for next month in my opinion.

oh, and yeah someone needs to clearly lay out the rules on this site and the florida site.

correct me if I'm wrong but your time (ET)doesn't start until you roll... yes you can win on A hole shot but thats because you get to the finnish line before the guy thats sleeping, et's are et's...I didn't say he out ran me I said his et's were faster hole shot doesn't play A part in the et. maybe i'm wrong though?

you are correct. from my understanding the et is from the time the final stage beam is broke untll you cross the finish line. the 60 ft. is from the beam that is after the stage beam till the 60 ft. box, and the rt is from the time the tree goes green and the stage beam is broke. at the starting line you have pre stage, stage, and a beam after that, that I think is for 60 ft. time. Jeff can give us more information on this, because he has all the info from porta tree.

Jeff is supposed to have shirts, hats, and I think stickers a well.

I will either have jeff post the class rules, or have him email them to me and I`ll do it.

We plan to start earlier ( at least on time , 10:30) this next race. We are also getting lights ( PRIORITY) so we wont be RUSHED again !!!!! When we do gets the lights up, we will have more time to give more T&T passes.
