KX4FIFSHEE
there are many better options over Trinity racing. both in price and performance! pull your carb bowl off and remove the pilot jet. check to se if it is clogged. (the wire from a bread bag tie will clean it out) i had a similar problem and sure as shit there was one tiny lil spec of dirt in there I pulled off my air filters and they are not even oiled.... they are actual K&N's with outerwears. Outerwears are torn and the K&N's are in rough shape. So i started to pull the right side bowl off and realized... i need a jet kit. So i went on ebay and just got a complete K&N kit with new filters, outerwears and a jet kit. So i am going to check all jets just so i can see what is actually in this banshee. I'll keep ya informed on what i find. I also want to note that there was some slight oil / fuel residue in the carbs. I'm assuming it could have been from the compression test but i don't know. crbanshee
just from the photo you posted im saying pull the carbs and give them a super good cleaning.. no matter what those carbs should be cleaned out periodicaly anyway. B12 or chem tool carb clearner works very good. even with a good airfilter and outerwear if you have any sort of gaps or holes or anything where dirt can get in past the filter the carbs will clog faster than you can imagen..the jetting should be right if you had the pipes installed by a shop with any skill most pipes come with a jet kit, i run the fmf fattys and they came with the new jett kit, my buddy is running t6's they also came with a jett kit, but if you bought the bike used its hard to say who put on the pipes and if they did do the jetts. but like i said a super good carb cleaning is always a good idea and since you are pulling them to check jetting anyway its just a few extra minutes to clean them anyway

How do i get the top disconnected? i don't want to just start tearing into this blindly..... Where the cables come in. Also, i want to paint the carb bodies... is that ok or is that a bad thing? okbeast
There's 2 little clips on the outside of each carb that holds the carb cap from spinning. Take those clips off and the caps will unscrew and the slides/spring/needle assembly will slide out of the carbs. Then just disconnect fuel lines and take them loose from the intakes and you're good to go.
