dajogejr
Yeah wtf did this mustang bullshit come from? Wasn't this about some dyno #'s of a banshee? I'd go back and re-read through some of the other posts but all the bullshit would clog my brain up right now :shoothead: Yep...that was pretty much my point in the very beginning. If you look at all his threads, particularly the ones where he is the dyno queen of quads, it always turns to "Mustang on a dyno this, car dyno that"... All I said was...uh...um...yeah, ok....what about the banshee being on a dyno? Then....he wadded his panties....played keyboard commando, forum bruiser, Internet tough guy....then right back to car dyno this, car dyno that. That's it, I'm changing this thread too. I played High School Football....and basket ball and baseball. I got cut from the chess team...but made up for it by taking a bronze in the math Olympics. Then...NYUK, Firehead, Big Red and I went and joined the circus doing nightly shows as the "2 foot cock" circus freak....chicks dug it. NYUK was the midget that dressed up as a clown, and carried that huge shovel and bucket around. Firehead Was the Joe Dirt look alike, mullet, lamb chops and all...who gave cute girls an extra 2 minutes on the merry go round.... Big Red handled the BB machine gun shooting range...and to this day is the only man who can completely shoot out that red start with either hand, chugging a beer and dealing a deck of cards. All that is about as relevant as his car/dyno ramblings....but not quite as entertaining as he boo hoo hoo, poor me I get picked on.
Bansh-eman
That pretty much gets you to where we are now (please correct me if I paraphrased any part of the discussion incorrectly). dont forget that he "put up" and called out NYUK and DA to come to his house LOL but to his amazment they didnt drive 3 states over to shut him up :shoothead: ahhh man..some peoples kids.... dave95.1
Then, there was some conversation about a cat cleaner, which intrigued me, even though I hate cats. Finally, I figured out you were the same guy that wrote a mile long reply to some one line joke I made about you mistyping Brain/Brian. Past that, I am just here to entertain. Cat cleaner http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=72842&st=
okbeast
Ya I do remember the wookie, but I thought we were done with him back in the 18.....or 19th star wars movie...oh and I played golf in HS.....is that relevant?

ojcool
Oj you just showed me how stupid you are. Iron lung refers to the supercharger, the brake on a dyno is what puts resistance on the roller to measure horsepower. But you already knew that seeing as you are so smart. :shoothead: Let me guess the mods on the stangs, baffels removed from the exhaust, and oj's special airfilter lid mod. :yelrotflmao: Dumbfuck :: Ok, that is not a brake dyno. It's an inertia dyno. There is a really big difference that Firehead as misguided as he is, did pick up on.
FireHead
Ok, that is not a brake dyno. It's an inertia dyno. There is a really big difference that Firehead as misguided as he is, did pick up on. You're right. I was wrong. However, an inertia brake dyno is even less reliable and certainly alot less expensive. Basically, the only thing you can do with them is zero speed to maximim rpm testing. You really can't do any tuning with them. They can't profile follow, hold a constant load on the engine, increase or decrease load, along with several other things. In other words that type of dyno is very much like the game at the fair where you hit the plunger with a hammer inorder to send a projectile up a tower to try and ring a bell. I retract my previous statement regarding the accuracy and cost of the dyno as I was wrong. The dyno in question, probably cost someone $10k used, and I certainly cannot estimate it's accuracy or repeatability, as it basically doesn't have any. Every time you run on that dyno the result will be different every time. The dynamometers of this type that are manufactured by DynoJet have earned the industry nickname DynoGuess based on the fact that they are purely a novelty tool that is designed to add credibility to shops that do not have any or simply to send a customer home with a piece of paper to post on the internet in exchange for $100. ojcool you're an idiot. :shoothead:

ojcool
Hmm, Well I thought I made it clear that I figured you knew that. However, I disagree about how useful that type of dyno is. 10k, No. But if you didn't notice that dyno is at someones house... Not a shop. It's not the dyno, but the data aquisition system that makes this particular setup very useful. And I have seen that dyno put up much lower numbers than some brake dynos. I have also run cars on it and seen it be witthin 3% of the runs. So it's not perfect. But it works pretty good. You seem to have a pretty good ability to search the internet to get information. Brake dynos are expensive to own and operate. And to have something like that at your house is pretty cool in my book.

BTW it a little strange that I told you it was a dynojet 2 days ago, you mentioned nothing.. Then I post that it isn't a brake dyno yesterday.. Still nothing.. NOW all of a sudden you have all kinds of information about dynos.... Little skeptical about you acutal knowledge vs your ablility to search the internet. Brake dynos are expensive to own and operate. And to have something like that at your house is pretty cool in my book. I did say $10k in used condition. The dyno and DA system probably cost someone $25k new. You can aquire data from a inertia brake dyno and all you'll have is a record that you accelerated the brake differently every time. An inertia brake dyno is only as good as the constant of accleration number that it put in the software. There is no way to calibrate the dyno. I don't care if it puts out lower figures or higher figures than other dynos, since the figures an inertia brake dyno puts out have no meaning other than they are compared to other figures that came from that specific dyno. Wtf are you talking about in regards to brake dynamometers? It makes no sense. Dynamometers fall into 5 general categories: 1.) Inertia brake (flywheel) 2.) Friction brake (rotary clutch pack in an oil bath) 3.) Dynamic brake (water brake or eddy current) 4.) Hybrid (Combination of a a dynamic brake and AC motor) 5.) AC An eddy curent or water brake dyno from Land & Sea run about $40k-$50k new to you door. That's not all that expensive and I know several people that have them at their houses. It's really the differnce between a toy and a tool. An analogy might be a Bob the Builder tool kit versus some you would buy off of the Snap-On truck.
