I CURRENTLY HAVE A BANSHEE WITH T-5'S STOCK TIMING...

IT HAS THE TWO INTO ONE SET UP.. ON IT ALREADY THE BIKE RUNS PRETTY DECENT ALREADY.. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A MORE POWER FROM BOTOM END TO MIDRANGE, AND TOP SIDE IF POSSIBLE....

IM TEARING THE BIG DOWN TO DO A TOP END REBUILD AND GO THROUGH THE TRANSMISSION.. BUT WHILE I GOT THE BIKE PART ...

I WAS WONDERING IF I SHOPULD GET THE CYLINDERS PORTED AND POLISHED.. AND WOULD IT MAKE A DIFFRENCE WTH THE TWO CARB SET UP?

WHAT OTHER MODS CAN I DO?

If your doing a top end then there is no other perfict time to get it ported. Yea you will notice a big difference with porting. The 2 in to 1 carb is capable of producing power. There is lots of people that run ported cylinders with stock carbs. I would consider a 2 in to 1 higher up on the perfromance scale than stock carbs. Porting is a night and day difference over stock cylinders. Other mods you can feel, but after pipes, porting is the next big improvement.

Porting is what I would do if you have the cash. Then do the bolt on stuff that doesnt require you to tear the top end down. You could install a timing plate while you had it appart. They only cost 35 bucks from ebay.

Get a noss head and up the compression, or just have your stock head shaved down for now.

Vforce 3 reeds.

It's gonna be tough to get great low end and mid and at the same time have a top end. One end of the spectrum will be short changed. I'd get an MX port.....that should give you what you want, unless you want more up top at the sacrifice of some down low....then get a dune port.

If you go for more mid and upper, you can get back some of the lost bottom end with timing and compression...however, you didn't say if you wanted to or minded running race fuel.

With more compression and timing, you'll need race fuel....normally.

Also, if you're gonna have it down to the tranny, have your porter weld the stock crank too, for reliability...

cheap, and well worth every cent once you start putting more power out of that motor!!!
