Well I got a call at 9pm a guy i know just bought a new kfx 700, and they told him at the dealership that it was tha badest 4-wheeler out. So his head got big. SO I loaded up the shee and headed over there. Raced from a stand still I was in 1st and left off the band. He left me at the line when I hit 4th i was coming and he let off. Then we went from a roll stayed even threw 4 hit 5th was in front by a bike hit 6th bYE BYE. Then from a stand still I started in 2nd that wasnt even funny I was gone he never got within 2 bikes. Just wanted everyone to know the score. By the way we were racing in a cow field grass. Tonight was the first time I have ever felt it pulling in 6th. Awsome!

Thanks Eric

If it was a stock KFX thats not much to get too fired up about. KFX's HAVE to have clutch work done to run at all. But a win is a win, next time I bet he keeps his mouth shut.

I heard the same thing about the clutch work, a friend at work bought a blue special edition awhile back and it's a pretty nice quad. I like how they even come with holeshot xc's from the factory. He says the clutch is made to slip some from the factory since it's automatic. It'll stand straight up with just gas from a stand still and it weighs over 500lbs so I'm sure it's got potential, especially since it's bone stock. I think they're an awesome trail machine, just kind of heavy for racing.

I just bought it its a 2000 shee, motor has been bored .25 over with a weisco kit, fmf gold series pipes, k&n, dirt digger clutch, 15 tooth front, stock rear, jetted, boost bottle, durablue +2 axle, some kind of reeds but in the stock cages, 20's on the rear, and some kind of fancy shocks with red and yellow springs, all blacked out, douglas rims.

He was stock and you are modded out, you were suppose to spot him... If you spot him you lose! Victory(not in my eyes or by any drag standards)!

What happens when he mods equal to you --you get WHOOPED and look stupid  .

-just my 2cents :shoothead:

Those bike are not very fast.I raced a green kfx with an HMF and a filter(Dont know which one),And my banshee was stock with only CPIs and a filter with airbox lid on.We raced off the whole and I just popped up and rode a wheelie 1-3 and I was in front of him the whole way.I couldve probably beaten him on a wheelie the whole way

Sure he's got some mods.Now if you get your's ported,then you'll just be a bully.LOL!

I'd consider it a win if the guy thought he was unbeatable.

  • 1 month later...

I raced a kfx at St. Joes in MO. I heard he had work done but he was unbeatable out there on sand. Yamaha 450's, Honda 450r's suzuki 450's banshee, others beside myself( I don't know if my bike is running like a banshee should or not) but he was very fast next was the yamaha 450 then me
