im looking for some feed back.. what do you guys think of a big bore kit, well as far as power, reliability, longevity. also will it be nice forlow to mid power for the trails.. i was told it has a trail port. and i have fmf fatty's, 4 deg adv.noss cool head(im sure i will need to get a big bore set of domes maybe 21 or 20's?)and i want pwk 34's or 35's to top it all off with. let me know if i could just spend my money on a stroker crank and make more power that way. don

If it was me I would go with a 4 mill, port for the increased stroke to a woods port. Give Jeff @ F.A.S.T. a call and you can compare pricing and get his feed back as well. I would think a longer stroke compaired to a big bore would make a little more low end torque. Torque is what you want for the trails. Reliability is execellent with the 4 mill. Good luck with you decision. gipperz

My banshee will be a 400cc. That is 66mm bore (stock bore blaster pistons) and a +4mm stroker crank.

Like I said I am having a set of already drag ported cylinders that are on there last leg resleeved. The first bore size of the sleeves that I am having put is is 66mm. If I had a set of stock bore cylinders ported, I wouldnt have the heart to take a set of 64mm bore cylinders and bore them to 66mm just to increase cc's.

If you went with the 68mm bore and a +4mm stroker crank you would be at 421cc's.

If it has any serious type of porting you wont be able to have it ported for the 4mill crank. When they port the transfers on a stock crank they raise the top of the transfer ports. Well a 4mill crank will have the piston drop 2mm farther down in to the cylinder. When builders port for a 4 mill crank they opean the transfer ports down twadrs the bottom. When you take a stock stroke ported cylinders and try to opeant he ports down for the stroker crank the transfer ports are to big.

All the spacer does is keep the pistons from smacking the head. The piston travels down 2mm farther and 2 mm farther up into the cylinder. Most builders port the cylinders for +4mm crank, and then run domes that are cut for the stroker. They dont run a spacer plate. When you run a spacer plate it moves the ports up 2mm. So when the piston is at top dead center the piston is right were it normally would be, but when the piston is at bottom dead center the piston is now 4mm down farther than the stock stroke crank. Some where your going to have to account for the +4mm extra stroke. Ethire 2mm on the top and 2mm on the bottom of the stroke, or run a spacer plate and have the piston go 4mm farther down in to the cylinder. All the 795 series pistons do is have the pin 5mm up twards the piston head to account for the +5mm longer rod. They do nothing for the stroker crank. If you run a long rod stock stroke crank you still have to run the 795 series pistons.

When haveing cylinders ported for a stroker crank some builders port for no spacer plate and a cut head, or others port for and run a spacer plate.

Stock 64mm bore and stock 54mm stroke is the 347cc.

Stock 64mm bore and a 58mm (+4) stroke is a 373cc

67mm bore and a 58mm (+4) stroke is a 409cc.

i wouldnt go the route of a spacer plate spend the extra money and have someone do the port work you will be so happy you spent the extra cash rather then cheaping out in the end! Passion does a great job and his feed back is great on here. Ask anyone running one of his motors!
