jmd0346
My brother has a stock 450R. It'll hang with my Banshee in the trails pretty well. Its when we hit straights or drag race that it gets ugly. I mean its laughable. But thats not what the 450R is intended for. Ive seen it win some lose some to 2 lightly modded Banshee's though. Pipes, filter, V-force 3's just from what i could see. For trail/track its a bad ass bike.
differentstrokes
Sredish, you've got a badass bike bro. I haven't tapped into mine much, other than a HRC kit, sprockets, and a full pipe which seems to be plenty for trails and play.

87sheerips
i got an idea.... lose the POS honda an get a banshee... or atleast buy a YFZridin a hondas like the special olypics.... even if u win ur still a RETARD :shoothead: Give me a break man. I mean, you just joined this forum and youre talkin out of your ass. OK dont be a honda fan, but you cannot deny they have some of the best, most reliable machines on the market. If I ever buy a 4-stroke itll prolly be a honda based on their awesome reputation as a great company with great products. Im obviusly a banshee man, but u cant hate on any good machine!! Ohh yea, plus they win races I have to say I wasnt too impressed with the HRC kit, as I easily walked the 450r I last raced with one. But like previously said, thats not what they are for. Banshees are for straight lines (especially us old J-Arms with stock suspension :yelrotflmao: ), 450s are racers on all parts of the spectrum! Sorry, got a little flustered but man hold off on the negative shit Edited February 23, 2007 by 87sheerips
camatv
what did the bike with the chick on it look like? i have a lil 350 you can race? we may have lined up already.. my 350 with my fat butt on it was able to beat most 4 pokes out there even those spraying.. and yes i even have a video.. how do i post it? the bigger bore 450's and yfz's are really coming along... they cost way too much to build and to get to stay together. i find it pretty funny watching the rods blow out the bottoms of the cases when they let go. if you want a fast drag bike i hate to say it but spend your money wisely.. i LOVED my 250r w the 330 kit on it. it made tons of bottom end a reved HARD.. i love the banshee for drag racing and i really dont think you can beat it for dollar todollar to HP gains it has.. also rember the engine has the benifit of having 20 years of DEVELOPMENT in it now. if you had a low budget you could build a very very fast banshee out the door for around 4000 bucks.. cub and all. it may take some patience and a lot of do it yourself but you could get it done pretty easy.. sredish
for the record, including suspension, I have more like 10 or 12 in mine. I have quite a bit more in my motor than I'd like to admit. My cam/headwork combo set me back $1200 alone. Then the $250 piston and $200 for the boring/plating of the cylinder, another $400 for the carb... $ for $, you can't beat a 2 stroke twin!! I could take $2000 and build a killer duneable Banshee motor that screams. cam, in case you didn't notice, I already agreed most of that point. it is hard to be the dollar / hp you get from a banshee. i wouldn't have a problem lining up with any banshee, not saying I'm going to win all the time, i know more than most what banshees are capable of, but I promise you'd be surprised by my lil 450. jmd0346
Well the only thing that can beat Banshee is another Banshee. Dont take that the wrong way. I do understand that they can be beat, The point is mod for mod, or should I say modability, they CANT be beat. But we all agree on that. As well as how awesome a 450R is for what its built for. Its a really fun quad. Even with a cam and exhaust I REALLY dont think a 450R would hang with my bike though. Ive beaten many quads. Modded quadzilla, N2O Raptor, N2O mild bolt-on banshee etc... The only thing ive had trouble with is my brothers CR500 and a ported , cpi, N2O banshee. Edited February 23, 2007 by jmd0346
SandShots
a drop in cam would be a start. stage2 or Hrc. if you want topend. Go with the HRC. get a full exaust system on there. theres a few good ones out there. N-motion,ESR,Dasa,etc.. some port work and a high compression piston with 13t sprocket would make that bike scream. i have a 450r as well, its a duneplay bike, with a stage2 cam, esr intake, yoshi exaust, elka shocks, houser arms, 39t and a bunch of replaced boltons. going with a 12.25 compression venom piston to run pump gas. camatv
oh i know i was just restating the obvious.. dont get me wrong i really enjoy the 4 pokes its just when these guys get thema dn say ohh they are the fastest thing out there,, and they are this ans that hey its cool i really really love my 350x and my 400ex they are a LOT of fun. but they are not drag bikes the 450's yfz's and the hondas are also a LOT of fun.. but again theya re not drag bikes,. its takes a TON of moneya nd most of the time nitro or NOS to beat me.. and i have only been beaten by 2 nos 450's on my stock stroke 65mm bore banshee with stock cylinders. you should come over and say hi at the LS HQ ride att he end of march its going to be fun!
