I saw for 159 or so, alloyboltz.com has "polished" bolts for the banshee....that's the way I'm looking to go. Anyone have a line on cheaper...or is that pretty much it? I figure I'm going this far...I might as well finish the bike off right. But, money is money ya know! The self locking nuts dont work, threads strip off the bolt when it hits the nylon washer in the nut, and the bolts are really really soft. It was impossible to torque some of the bolts because they just kept stretching. The kit worked nice on the plastics, and cosmetic stuff, but was a royal pain in the ass on everything else. Quote

I want nice looking bolts for the frame, suspension, etc.... Who/what do you recommend, Mike? I'm PC'ing my frame, cases, front spindles and hubs. I have Tyson drag J Arms for the front... I'm going the extra mile to have it look good AND run good...but, reliability and strength are more important... Quote

I had to replace several bolts that stretched and snapped the head right off. Overall, it's not a "bad" kit...just be prepared to pick up a few extra bolts when you put your bike back together Quote

I just didn't want to use the same old, stock dingy bolts on a nice PCd frame and Chrome Jarms, Chrome aero metal tech swinger.... Quote

I wouldn't knock stainless steel as a fastener material. I would however stay away from alot of the specialty "bolt kits" that are out there simply because they use non-graded Chinese made fasteners. I have found that it was worth my time to go to a specialty fastener place and make my own kit. It takes more time, and can cost more money, but atleast you will have the piece of mind of knowing you have the correct, quality parts. :thumbsup: Quote
