olmick
Im gonna be sending my stock cylinders out tomorrow and i cant make up my mind on which port to get, im going to be sending them to bob@RB porting, my mods are in sig right now, i usually ride alot of fire roads, strip jobs, and some nice trails, but nothing to hairy, how will my powerband be with the dune port compared to the mx port? is it a big difference in the powerband of how early and hard it hits? the porting is the same price for either and im just curious on which one to get, also which port will make the most hp/tq and where will the maximum hp/tq curve be in the rpm's, i need to know which one i will be going with by tomorrow afternoon, any input would be appreciated
FASTOYS
I believe the best person to ask .....would be the guy that is doing the port work. Imo for fire roads and nice trails the dune port should work fine if done properly.
87sheerips
I have the aggresive/dune port from rob at RB. I love it!! I ride trails, dunes, ice drags, and open roads. Best bang for the buck, and was super easy to tune. Get the aggressive!! Im sure Rob will agree! You can see what it sounds/rides like in the vid section, under white lake ice drags. gipperz
I use Jeffs dune port on my 4mil. works very good for fire roads and wide trails.
jmd0346
Id go with the dune port myself. I think thats pretty much what I have. I ride sand pits, roads and trails. Some tight/technical trails. I love my port. Im 6' 225. Im what I call a "strong" rider. My bike doesnt have much low end but you can clutch it and it will flat rip. You just have to be strong enough to hold on to it and point it where you want it to go. IMO a powerfull Banshee(60-70 hp) is easy to ride. More so than the lower powered thumpers. A banshee spins so much that you can control it with throttle and strength. If that makes sense. I wouldnt be scared of a good dune port. I wish i would have gotten a full drag port myself. He's gonna give you one or the other. You're gonna like either one. Its gonna be a big difference from you stock jugs. It'll be a whole new bike. You'll love it.
