ojcool
Ok, so I don't know if anyone remembers the videos I posted on this bike. It had a quick shot of the head where it had a million dents in it from piston disegration. Well I machined it on my lathe and heres what we got now. So, looks good huh, and it's not done. Just need to CC it and figure out how much to mill it by to bring the compression up to par. Not sure how I'm going to determine this. Washburn
Damn good job. What do you think about doint that to this one
ojcool
Well that one is alot worse than this one was but as long as there is enough material I could do it. Problem is on this year bike I can't find anyone who sells a cool head for it. So I don't know how many CC's to make the head to adjust compression. I guess I'm just going to have to get the stock CC's and just take a couple off and hope it works out.
brock_fuzzy_69
i think my 88 lt 250 head was a stock valume of 22 cc now its more like 18 or so with 30 shaved off of it i used a horse syrenge and some diesel fuel to test the volume of mine
ojcool
Yep, thats what I figured I'd end up doing. Going to go 18cc for race fuel. This bike is going to need every ounce of power I can give it. Even running triple boost bottles it's going to struggle a little.

Toybreaker
DR Q. knows his shit. THe 87-92 heads will work on the 85-86 engines. I don't think the heads mods are going to help you. Start the profile with a 14 degree taper and work it until you get the volume and dome shape you want. Too much squish will give you pre-ignition. Talk to some of the builders on here about dome profiles I made my own domes for my shee and milled the snot out of the one on my 87 LT. Those boost bottles better have nitrous in em
