87sheerips
SO Finally made it out to the ice drags this weekend. First of all it was -6 F with wind chill. Cold as fuck! I run into this banshee, Full drag port, CPI inframes, on alky, 36mm keihins (straight up woth no filters) +4 swinger, solid rear strut, +4 timing, and some other stuff. I had my bike pretty damn dialed in considering the weather (ran 165 mains on my 28mm PWKs) I get a bad start (hard to keep it down with studs and stock swinger), he got a 5 bike lead and i passed him by 2 at the end! We ran 4 or 5 more times, I beat him every time by at least a few bikes. His bike seemed to run good too, and he had brand new studded tires. Shit, half my studs are ripped out! I just didnt expect to win, I mean I got FMF gold series, and healthy dune port, and the 28mm PWKs on pump gas with K&N and box. And 20cc domes. I think the guy was pretty pissed, he just kinda left after we were done!!! hahahaha Gotta love it, man I was guna get some CPIs to compliment this port job but maybe not!! alcoholbanshee
on alky, This is why you beat him. Alky can be a bitch to tune in 75 degree weather.... nearly impossible in 0 degree weather. It is just too temp sensitive.
lowriderb
+4 timing on alcohol.. :shoothead: no air filters.. drag port with only a +4 arm.. :yelrotflmao: that couldnt have been that fast of a bike.. this goes to show bike set up plays a huge part in going fast.. lowriderb
alcohol likes compression and timing, tipical alcohol settings are in the 170+ psi of compression and around +8 or so of timing.. starter fluid would work to start it as well.. or a squeze bottle of alcohol.. wtf is it with no air filters.. do they stop filtering air at different temps.. if they do thats news to me.. Well no dirt on ice but still, it was pretty windy. I dont think snow would be a good thing for your cylinders
