Meat
those tire balls, they are worth thier weight in gold. We ran a full set at this years Maxxis 12 hour race and boy was it nice not having to worry about tire changes. They worked great for us. Every Pro XC racer runs em and tons of amauteurs too. The tire balls came onto the scene about 2 years ago, they're a relativly new product. You can find used sets on Ebay pretty cheap... .... and if I could beat this dead horse a little longer... next time you talk to Cody Buchanan, ask him what series he races and what class he races in. I couldnt find his name in ANY of the gncc classes last year and im 100% sure he's not racing the Pro class in the GNCC circuit.

Like I said Im going to run those walmart balls and see how they work out. I figured there were many GNCC ciructs for people who live in a state so they dont have to travle all around america. I was a little misinformed. Here is the series he races in and it was 7th overall. http://www.imxracing.com/index.php?option=...7&Itemid=53 This is where I will be racing when I get my Banshee ready. LiftdT4R
Send me a pic of those balls when you get them , I wouldn't even know what size to go with, I would think that since they are probably only carrying 5lbs or so a piece that they would form to the inside of the tire fairly well. Sounds like a good idea, flat tires sure do suck, gotta ride back on it, and try to plug it while it's all muddy and shit, really pisses me off, that's not a bad idea. Ok, you gotta think how these guys start. The pros go first, then QXC-1 and so on. The overall standing are figured out based on how the person finishes amongst all riders in all classes. Whereas the individual standings only use the riders from that class. I know it's a little confusing, but really the overall standings don't mean squat. I guarantee that Corbin Knox is one of the 2 or 3 fastest guys running in that series, but since he rode QXC-1 last year, he didn't do so great in the overall standings. Plus he had a few DNF's do to part failures. He will be running pro this yr. He has passed all the pro class guys and led a few races last yr even. Just mainly had bad luck. blaster668
I have some more info about the tire balls for ya. They are found in Walmart toy section....hopefully they still have them. There are two different kinds, make sure you get the ones that you can stick an airpump needle in and deflate them. I guess one kind will deflate one kind will not. Then you want to deflate them stuff them in your tires nice and tight, then pump them all up. Phil told me the rears hold about twenty balls per tire and the fronts hold like 13. Ill just tell everyone I have 100 kids no big deal. That sounds about rite I think I counted like 12 but there very well could have been 13 or more in there. Did Phil tell you how much air he puts in each one? Yeah man that points scoring is really confusing. I need to look at it somemore. Ok I looked at it more :yelrotflmao: I just dont get it. blaster668
The individual class points are based on a score of 25pts per race. 1st place in that class gets 25pts, 2nd place gets 24pts, etc etc. The overall pts are based on a score of 100pts per race. 1st person to cross the finish line for the day out of the entire field gets 100pts, 2nd person gets 99pts, etc. But remember, the pro class starts first then class 1 then 2 etc. So for a class 2 guy to get say 100 pts it would mean he had to pass all the guys in class 1 and pro and remain the leader untill the race is over. So it's much harder for a great rider in a lower class to get lots of overall pts because he's starting on unfair ground. Also, some of the races had double pts so thats why you see 200 for some of them.

Meat
your buddy Cody must be pretty good. those guys he's racing against are all very good GNCC racers. McGill and Rice are Pro gncc racers and Sommers won this past gncc seasons "4 stroke A" class. Brandon Sommers is Laz Sommers boy, laz owns Gt Thunder. The 4 stroke A class is one of the top classes, Sommers might be moving up a class this year. Pickens is also a gncc racer, but I don't know much about him. yea if your buddy cody is racing along side these guys, cody's got to be one hellava racer. good info on the walmart balls, find out what lbs to inflate em too. I'll try the damn things out.
