30mm carbs, ok for stock engine?

Ok, I'm gettin' ready to buy carbs, and I was gonna try out those 30mm Okos on ebay. For 200 shipped, jetted with a throttle cable, doesnt sound like a bad deal. I know many other members ave had positive things to say too. Only question is, are they any good for a stock engine? I don;t have any porting done, just timing, filter and pipes. Will they be impossible to jet, or should they be a good improvement over stock? Thanks for the info!

those must be the knockoff d-slide carbs. they should work fine, you might loose a little lowend but you will also rev out a tad higher.

let me know what you think of them when you run them, ive been curious :ninja:

Yeah, that's what I was worried about, it's mostly a woods bike, so I need all the low end I could get.

They are a knockoff of the Keihens, from what I've heard they are pretty decent. I believe most of the parts(jets, needsle, airscrews) are interchangeable with the Keihen ones. There are a few reviews on here and I havent heard of anyone being dissapointed in their quality.

Jay, Ive seen people get 4mil agressive woods setups and still stay on the stock carbs so they can keep all of that lowend. Yes they are bottleing up the overall power and not poping the cap with 28s or 30s but they do take ayawy. I would suguest keeping the carbs you have or getting them bored out to 28mm and saving some money unless you plan on getting some heavy duty porting and if thats the case your going to be concentration on keeping the rpms down enough so that you can corner properly. Thats just my oppion though.

i got the 30mm oko's from cpw and they gave me alot more bottom end , they are way better then the pos stockers. these came to my door jetted perfectly , with extra jets for when it gets warm , trust me you will not lose any bottom end . worth every penny in my book. call them and talk to them, they know about carbs and jetting.

they gave me more power everywhere , especialy in the bottom end , the bestmod i did to my shee so far.

Ive always heard you will lose low end by putting 30+ on a stock motor. I would look at some 28PWKs. Here are some one ebay

Ebay Carbs

the cpw carbs are pwk 28 mm copies bored to 30 mm , on a 2mm diference you arent going to lose your bottom end power . probably gain if anything

You have porting done on your bike though right? I'm worried that with stock port, the 30s will drown out the engine a lot, and jetting will be a pain.

i have a mild port (clean up ) and they work perfect. just call them up and talk to them.the guy i talked to was jeff , he knows his shit , he told me they are perfect for stock motors , he said if you have alot of port work ,stroker , mods like that go to 33mm -35mm , call them and talk to them , they stand behind their carbs.
