miner
yes, there are the adjustable timing plates and the +4 degree keys but i dont really know the benefits. i do remember seeing on here that the degree key was not reliable. i have been wondering the same thing since i saw the plates are only aroung 35.
bada450r
I was just wondering if i can advance the timeing on my stock engine are you completely stock?,if so i dont even think you will benefit from advancing the time, you can mil your head, and lighten your flywheel, for like under 100 bucks than you will tell the difference.also be sure you eliminate your rev limiter..... :: ::
dajogejr
There is no Rev Limiter on a stock shee, I think you mean the TORS, or throttle override, that's not a rev limiter. Yes, a +4 timing will help ANY motor, but it will compliment a motor with opened up air intake (better filter, no lid, etc.) and with pipes much better. Three very cheap and easy mods once you have your bike piped, air filter and jetted are shaving the flywheel, bumping your timing and shaving the head. Noticeable and very, VERY cheap.... Dangm you beat me to everything. I love how many people say remove the "rev limiter". As the joke goes the only rev limiter on a stock bike is the stock pipes.
