Knight_Rider
hey guys just wanting your opinion on what tyre wears the best for shingle/hard packed clay surface ive had a set of holeshots and found that they did wear very quick what are the razors like? what kind of life would you see out of a set of tyres? i only ride maybe once a week
dajogejr
I like the holeshots for hard packed, clay...they have a stiffer compound IMO...(XCRs) Razrs are a great, great trail tire for looser/loamy stuff.
theshee
I like the look of Razrs, but I cant complain about holeshots. My KFX came with them and they have been abused and abused some more and are still working fine. Either one you will be happy with.
trueraiderfan
I just got a brand new set of XCR's (holeshot) all the way around and rode on them for the first time last weekend and man do those things grip and rip bro never rode anythinkg like them b4 slide when you ewant to and grip when you want them too. best 289.00 I ever spent. EastCoast Banshee
Iv had both and id go Razr any day over holeshots. The holeshots just never seemed to hold up well for me. Im gonna try out Kenda Klaw MX tires next though herd they were a pretty good tire also.
ToomeySheeLE
I've had the standard razrs and they lasted a good 2 seasons and seemed to be a very good tire. All I ever hear is that they will outlast holeshots, perhaps not all the models but for up to $30 less a tire, you cant go wrong with the razrs. I plan on running the Kenda knarlys next time around, the Kenda klaws look to me like they'd wear out quick.. Just out to try something different. Knight_Rider
what do you think of kenda dominators? i dnt know if they are the same as kenda knarleys they are called dominators over here
locogato11283
i say neither fuckin one. both are heavy, overpriced and wear out quickly. kenda knarly or stock yfz450 tires are by far the best tires ive used. and i have tried just about every dirt tire out there since i run in dirt hillclimbs. need a good grippy, lightweight tire for hardpack and loose. these 2 tires work the best. plus they last a long time and are reasonably priced. Knight_Rider
i have heard that the kenda tyres seem to wear really good i had a set of dominators a while ago which seemed to have lasted ages, ive just got a set of razors im gona try out so will be interesteing to compare them
theshee
Not to argue with loco, I respect his opinion 100%. But I have over 3000 miles on the stock set of my KFX-700 and its a heavy bike. They still have 1/4 of the tread left, and it has been ridden on all kinda of terrain. I have heard Razrs wear quick, but the XCT holeshots are tough tires.
miner
i had kenda klaws on my z400 and they really held up well, hooked up good and never had a flat. i just got razr 2's for the shee and dont really know if i like them yet
Washburn
Holeshots are and always will be my favorite tire. The Razr 2s will outlast them by far and they are very comprable witch is why Im buying a set cause I run through tires like water. If I had the money Ide buy the XCRs all around. I already have them on the front.

06BaNsHeE
I was riding on my 4x4 this weekend and went threw some mud with some random guys there and they were both running kenda knarlys. They were ok in the mud but on hardpacked they hooked up hard.I mean I was actually able to lift up the front end on this banshee without having to sit all the way back. And on street they looked ok I never rode it on street.I agree with loco on the knarlys. My yfz tires were ok but I changed them about a month after I got my yfz to irazrs and they hooked HARD.But about six months later they looked like slicks. The person I sold my yfz too told me that he swithched them to r/a and that they hooked up amazing. So maybe look into those tires too ive never seen or heard of them
