Binow Posted February 1, 2007 Report Share Posted February 1, 2007 Saw a few negative posts about these a few months back mostly from one person. Anyone else have some more recent info about these. I'm thinking aobut getting the 4500 kit. Here is the kit I'm looking to purchase. I'm looking to spend about $1k or so on front suspension. I live in AZ, and use the bike out at the dunes and out about at various "trail" spots which still end up being pretty much sand. Probably gonna have everyone suggest Elka's but we'll see. Washburn Posted February 1, 2007 Report Share Posted February 1, 2007 Ive never seen them ran on anything. Ive heard of a few people on the internet with them on their yfzs. If you cant tell the diffrence between a works shock and a shock thats suposto be top of the line the price tag says that anyway then they are either valved and setup horribly wrong and you still should be able to feel a diffrence or they are not that good. xLastShotx Posted February 1, 2007 Report Share Posted February 1, 2007 (edited) I have the A-Arms from them and they work extremely well. I chose to save money and get Works shocks to go with them and those shocks do very well with the A-Arms, I don't race but I do ride very hard and my combination of A-Arms and shocks works great. Its Just You Are Paying For The Name Just My .02 Cents, I LIve In Az Also And I Havent Had A Problem With It So Far i will agree that you are paying for the name with elka but the kit that he wants is right up there in price aswell. get some quicksand Arms they seem to be pretty popular around here and then go for some works with or without rezzys and you will still be under the 1400$ price tag that Hydowhatever has on there stuff. and again im sure the kit works kick ass compard to stock but WORKS shock are a good name thats been around for awhile and are priced very good as compared to elka. forinstance you can get a works dualrate with rezzy for around $500/$600 new. elkas dualrates with rezzys looking at $750/$850 new. im my opinion i would go with works shocks and some decent arms Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Im planning on buying their a-arms when I get my tax money back, they look a lot better built than most a-arms out there. They are pricey though.
