banshee misconceptions

Recommended Posts

I think people get the idea banshees are to expensive to mod because they are,. but only because there are 2 of most parts,. pipes, carbs, filters, reeds, pistons, ect.... but bang for the buck its worth it and still cheaper than moding a 4 choke to be of equal handling/speed. Just like the difference between a big block and a small block. a big blocks parts are more expensive,. but by the time you build a small block to have equal horsepower,. youve spent more.

1) THEY SUCK FOR TRAIL RIDING

2) THEY SUCK CUZ YOU HAVE TO BUY 2 OF EVERYTHING

3) THEY SUCK BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS BREAKING DOWN

...

1) if set up properly and you know how to ride one, banshees kick ass on the trails

2) some things yes, but not EVERYTHING... but it's well worth it and doesn't really cost any more than mod'ing a 4 stroke and is MUCH easier

3) always breaking down is the fault of the idiot not taking care of it or not knowing what they are doing to begin with when doing their own work. (could be the same with any ride) i've seen lots of sweet shees on this site that are maintained better than some peoples cars or homes.

well those people are idiots, and 2500 bucks put into any shee ,and iam not talking on just motor work, and youill be running w 535 trx or yfz,and those 4 strokes to even be conpetitive you would have to spend i say 5 or 6 grand, thats what one of my buddys recently spend on his trx,and his thinking his going to kick my ass.him on his honda, and me on my shee.his one of my close friends, but as far as him kicking my ass,all i have to say is,YOU BETTER PUT OIL IN YOUR GAS IF YOU WANT TO KICK MY ASS........ :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I split the cases on "theshee's" banshee in 2 hours. They aren't hard to work on. My last top end took me under an hour to put in after I had gas tank and plastics off.

I'd say the one I hear the most is tha they break down all the time. I get some prety good hours out of top ends, and shit its only $100 and a an hour or two to put it in. They aren't that hard to work on once you've done a few.

let me know where you are getting your gaskets pistons and what machine shop your are using.

$100 for a top end? thats unbelievable cheap. pistons alone cost me $150 plus tax. gaskets and machine work are another $100 easy.

Fill us all in we want to get that deal too!

true, but even still. a four stroke pipe can get pricey really quick, 450 head for the price of a noss? i dont think so, and they are unchangeable.

That's all I ever hear. "they're unreliable and suck for anything other then wide open and drags"

Shit, I was beating out some c class riders on the track with mx'ed out 400's, 450's, 500's, and 660/700's on a STOCK suspension banshee and have never had trouble keeping up with anyone in the trails as of yet.

I just can't wait till I've really got this thing modded. I love being the underdog, almost anyone will underestimate a banshee on the track. :whistling:

id say the biggest misconception is that they dont get you laid. well thats not true cuz ive fucked 5 hot bitches just because they wanted to feel the banshee vibrate. once they got on, they didnt wanna get off...

LOL! They have to have teeth and weigh less than 200lbs for it to count! LOL!
