owmyeye
I have ohlins in the front and the rear shock is in need of replacement. It has been re-gassed before (the place i took it to said it can't be re-gassed anymore). I am looking for something that will compliment my front shocks while saving money to replace the rear it with ohlins again. I am thinking either works or elka. Any suggestions? Washburn
The regular Elka Rear goes for like 875 MSRP and the new linkage Elka makes is like 500 from them you can probably get it for 300 and it raises your rear to 11.5. That would compliment them Ohlins very well. I looked into Ohlins but decided to go Elka all around. If you really want to go with the Ohlin rear shock you can alway spend like a hundred or so on a used revalved recharged Banshee shock use it untill you save the dough to get the Ohlin recharge and resell for what you bought it for. Thats if you dont bust it again. Ill probably be selling my stock rear shock in a few weeks. I can get it serviced for 35 and sell it to you for whatever they go for. Let me know if your intrested.
