Geoff
I just bought some used LSR a-arms and the upper ball joints won't fit thru the spindle. The bottom of the hole just aint big enough. Anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do......drill it out or what. All i want to do is put them on this sucks... nunyabinness
i thought with lsr arms you have to have the spindles reamed.
Geoff
I don't know.....I thought they were one of the ones you didn't so maybe I'm mistaken. I'm going to call a dealer tomorrow and hopefully they can tell me whether I need to ream them or get new ball joints for the uppers. If it aint one thing it's another. ClimbAnyHill
Don't ask them if you need to ream them or get new ball joints, they'll prob say yes just to keep their hands clean. Just tell them they didn't fit & let them explain the reason why.

Geoff
Well the place I talked to is Cascade Innov. and they from my experiences are pretty straight shooters. I was told LSR are direct boltons and all 4 ball joints are the same. Which in my case the uppers are a 12mm bolt and the lowers are 10mm. My stockers all have 10mm bolts. So my new ball joints will be here tomorrow and maybe then I'll finally get to finish putting it together. Thanks you guys
EastCoast Banshee
Mine fit right up maybe they threw in some honda ball joints on accident.

theeechozen1
you had to ream the spindles on the old school LSRs, Id say maybe 3 yrs ago or so
Blue Duece
you may need to reem them out with a "uni" bit its a tappered teared bit you can get them from a 1/4 inch to 7/8's or 5/8's to an inch and a half........i think home depot has them.......dont over drill or your joint will be sloppy in the arm..............P.S. use lots of oil when drilling and a high speed drill
Geoff
Well I ended up just buying new ball joints from cascade that are chromed and everything went right together then like it should. I don't have any other experience with atv a-arms to have an idea of what the deal was. I know a few other people that have LSR and none of them had a problem that I know of. Thanks for the help though guys Geoff
