Skidmark
Do they really give you that much more traction? I mean, I know they give you better weight transfer and better handling. But are all the wheelies really worth that little bit of traction? P.S.- Im not trying to start crap or anything so please dont freak out on me. theshee
Really depends on what kind of riding you are doing. It would never work for me in the dunes, I would flip over climbing and scuff myself, but I would imagine in the right riding type it would work out.
Animalman294
If you do MX with the tight turns, then the shorter swinger would be great...............
ZillaRider02
I ran a -2" on my Banshee with a mild dune motor (ported, Noss head, T-5's) and it was a ton of fun with a V-Paddle that doesn't overhook the bike. It would wheelie on command, even in 6th gear. Also, I rode some trails and it really helped the turning of the bike. I'm going to a +2" with some more motor work, as I ride 99% in the dunes. bansheefreak
i have a minus swinger and i have rode dunes with it.. i mainly got it for tt but i dune some too.. but i was running 10 paddle extreme haulers. i didnt have a problem hell for lil while i was even riding double with my wife with no problems.. unless i stopped cus there was so much traction i would dig a hole at take off... but yes a shorter swingarm will move the weigh closer to rear end for more traction .. will also let it fly lil better by moving the weight up front.. and better turning.. Hollister_Hitman
A -2 swing arm is the shit. Way better handling and tons of traction. It doesn't make it a wheelie machine either, but I haven't rode it in the dunes yet. My bike is only piped and filtered with a 35mm carb though, so not a whole lot of power, but with all the traction it explodes out of the corners. I highly recommend it to anyone that trail rides or does mx.
