BIGDOGDADDY
Hey guys, I have an 03 Shee with the following mods. Toomey t5s, reeds, coolhead, boost bottle, just had a clean-up bore with new wiseco pistons and a full drag port and polish. I am also going to advance the timing and lighten the flywheel. I want to buy some new carbs (still have stock carbs). What would you guys suggest size and brand? I mostly ride in the dunes and do alot of draging. But still some trail riding here and there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
dajogejr
Should post this in the engine repair section, not for sale... You've got a 100% mismatched package....drag porting, trail pipes, but still want to ride trails....

I don't think you read my post very well. I said I mainly ride dunes and drag, Very limited trail use. I guess alot of people have mismatched packages because I have noticed alot of others with the same mods as me!! But hey thank's for the input. Bansh-eman
well stud id have to agree with Dajogejr... a full drag port and T-5 are a complete mismatch... a T-5 is not by any means a dune /drag pipe... they are simply the better of the low to mid pipes to be used for ppl that dune and dont want a full drag bike... All I said was i don't consider a T5 a trail riding pipe. Do you? most people that I have heard from say the T5 takes to porting very well. So why would you buy T5s and port your Shee to trail ride. I never said the T5 was an all out drag pipe. And I am not looking to build a drag banshee. Just for riding the dunes and draging all the 4 pokers out there!! But once again I do appreciate all your input. That's why I asked you for it, Thanks.

dajogejr
I've taken no offense, it's all good. All I'm saying is T5s do take to porting very well, but other pipes will take to drag porting much much better. CPI, Shearer, Rocket, Grand River, RDZ....those are drag pipes...that's al. No big deal...I'm a big boy, there were no personal attacks...it's all good...

The only reason I did the full out port was because everyone I talked to said I would regret a mild port when I hit the hill and didn't have that extra zip. The Shee runs very, very good with the mods I have done. I am going to buy the new carbs today, still undecided on what to go with. Because of the input from the forum I think I will shy away from the Mikunis. Thanks again for the input it is very much appreciated. Was not trying to offend anyone, it's all good here too.
dajogejr
I'd go PWK35mm... Some 35.5 Mikunis are a fine choice too. The nice part about Mikunis are removable dump tubes. If you drill 'em for alky, you can switch 'em back to gas. Then again, everyone says...once you go alky, you won't be going back...
FASTOYS
I would prolly have to say 35pwks would be a very good compliment to your setup! Give us a holler.
