dajogejr
Koolguy... I have absolutely nothing but utmost respect for you, I've followed a lot of your postings and have learned from them. As said, I don't think it was the money, it was the money AND how it was handled, the bomb being dropped, no warning, etc. As said over there on PS where I posted, I'm not a fan of their politics and favorisms...I think that's pure BS. Deleting posts, banning members, etc. That site truly is a top notch resource of knowledge for those of us that aren't strictly weekend warriors, but more into racing hard core. However, it is yet to be seen if Charlie can mend the bridge he burned very quickly...that's all.
dynodon
I am NOT defending Koolhere, BUT, I think what he meant ( By saying he would know) is that he is a moderator over there ( I believe)! At any rate, the site went back to a free site, Things just didnt go the way they anticipated ( to make some money for his time, as Sherry posted ) and most felt that was wrong, and left the site. I will agree that site does have alot of hard core racing knowledge; Clavin pollet, Dave Moore, Nate mcCoy, Damien, white knuckle, Jim, Jon lorio, K&T, etc. etc. But most of these peaple will give you help if a phone call is made. rotaxmax
There is more to it than just the Planet Sand forums, Fastest On the Planet race, West Coast Shootout and the 4 Stroke Challenge Series is a part of the Planet Sand Drag Race Association and is directly supported by Planet Sand. The Planet Sand Drag Race Association (PSDRA) is also sanctioning tracks all over the nation to be able to put on more event Edited January 22, 2007 by rotaxmax

rotaxmax
I think you find most large organised event's have to be constantly fine tuned and the more they do the better it get's, I don't know of any other organisation taking ATV drag racing in this direction, I don't want people don't get discouraged, we need them to hang in there and give their input and support for the future of the sport. OhtonLIES
"I would like to see the sport grow, maybe even to the level of NHRA, But there are many issues that would need to be handled differently" I agree with this, but Charlie Ohton is not the person that can accomplish this. He speaks from both sides of his mouth and everyone knows this. When he gets caught trying to pull some BS, that's when Sherry chimes in with the violins and the "oh, poor Charlie" bullshit. It's all a game they play. I am sorry to all of you supporters, but I have seen it first hand as many people have. If you are not the "buddies of the week", you will get nowhere with Charlie or Planet Sand. Just ask Louie from Twister how hard it is for him to get a good spot in the pits at any race he attends. Ohton has his favorites, and if you are not one of them then you are left out in the cold. If you are not willing to make it a fair and balanced playing field for everyone, then you should not be organizing these types of events. csrmel
i am normally not in favour of closing any threads. the planet sand thread was there for people to voice their concerns about the new pay system. once everyone got the option to have their money refunded the planet sand thread basically served no point except for letting members trash talk others. look the bottom line is they did what was right and made planet sand free again. alot of people myself included were pissed but we dont need to be pissed anymore. we dont really need to discuss it anymore either, the war is won, its over. its free now so lets just let it go and get on with life.
