jstdrag
Can someone please tell me the theory of why you guys are using the staggereds ? staggerd the paddles cover more surface area of the tire,,theres really not much benifit unless you widen the wheel,, we have had some wheels custom made for the 25x12x9 size tires,, the wheels are 12inches wide and they make alot of difference on the footprint the tire makes,,if you dont stagger the paddles you wont cover the footprint the tire will make with that wide wheel/// on the flip side if you run the 25x12x9 tire on say a 9inch wide wheel you only have say 8 inches of the tire making a foot print,,ama makin since? or do i need to re explain this,,,we,ve got several big builders trying this combo,,, and so far they are loving it,,i,m selling alot of this combo to builders such as Packard and K&T ETC
BillyGoat
Well, I don't have a banshee but I'm gonna miss PS. I never really used it as much more then a technical resource but I really enjoyed all the talk on engine theory, and the new stuff that people dreamed up just to try and see how it works. I know this is primarily a banshee website/forum, but I think the Administrator should consider expanding the boundaries a little bit for us single cylinder guys... Im working on a +16 rigid but its slow Have you talked to Randy since the fallout of PS He was on more than anybody I know Yeah right, slow huh? If you're using that same engine and slapping it on an aftermarket chassis, your bike is gonna fly I talked to Randy a few times, he's actually supposed to be stopping by my house today so we can get some measurements for the wheelie bars he's building. I know he's disappointed about PS, but don't know if he's going to be a paying member or not...I'll be sure to let him know you're on here, it'll be a matter of time before he signs on if he hasn't already  Well, I don't have a banshee but I'm gonna miss PS. Hey, there are a lot of people that are on here that don't have banshees...I'm sure in due time the forums will be taking a slightly different path given the events taking place, and I believe if the majority of folks want or don't mind it, Lee would probably add sub forums for the non-banshee owners. dajogejr
dave, it better be water and not beer if you wanna keep up with me at the LS ride.. haaaaaa. gotta get you some motivation to make it down. Um...Light beer. And Jeff already told me to get down to LS so he can show me how a 10 mil should run... I've got my motivation! Of course, then he said I might have a weight advantage, but when I told him I was 240 to 250, I think I heard him smile again....FBT for everyone... :yelrotflmao:

ridgeburner
Thanks, I kind of figured it was to do with that. I ran 26" staggered 14 paddle haulers all year last year on the trike. I have 26" 16 paddle Rippers for this year, but I didnt go with the staggered this time. Guess we will see what happens.

Guess we will see what happens. well to be quite honest, after the west coast race, dan and i got to talking and decided we should just try a whole bunch of diff types of paddles next race...so one of the sets was a some staggered 16 xtremes. we could sit on the phone for 2hrs talking ourselves into believing these tires may work, but then again they may not work better than a set of 10 haulers. what i find interesting is a handful of ppl are already buying/ordering this particular tire now, and they dont even know if they will work any better than what they already have. Whitey
looks like planetsand is back to normal, man that was quick. Well wouldn't you? I guess they finally realized that PS was nothing special and there would be plenty of other places ready to take over as top forum. Its alot smarter to just sell the whole forum and actually make money instead of just killing it slowly.
