Changing gearing

Im putting a 13 tooth front sprocket on this week sometime, wondering what size rear everyone suggests. Should I just keep stock 42? I want more low end, but I dont want to make my low gears useless. First is almost useless to me right now, other then for putting around. I wouldnt mind using 2nd gear as my starting gear, I never reach 6th gear.

Thanks.

Also are RK chains anygood? Or should I stick with DID. Does anyone make a chain that isnt gold! I hate gold. Seems the only good chains I see on the net and at local shops are gold.
