drag suspension?

I'm new to setting up quads for dragging and in search to find out the best and right way to set things up. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I should begin to set up my banshee for dragging? The banshee I have now currently has +2 swingarm and a-arms, with a wider axle(not sure how much). I know a longer swingarm is a must but how much is needed? Thanks for any info.

Swingarm length is determined by how much power you have...what kind of engine are you running? Also, what kind of terrain? Dirt, sand, asphalt?

I am in the process of getting it all together right now but I am aiming towards a Trinity built 420 stroker kit, drag pipes, alky carbs, v-force2 reeds, Vito's pistons(maybe??) cool head, and have them port and polish it. I'm not sure what kind of HP that will put out? The surface would be asphalt and/or hard packed dirt.

why do you say stay aways from trinity. all the parts on my bike is trinirty i haven had any problems with them all runs good looks great. and they have good customer service

I said stay away from trinity because he wants to build a drag bike and there are other builders that can pull way more power then trinity.

is this trinity's 420 that uses the stock jugs? if so, you would be much better off with a 421 cub, especially if you're going to drag race. i had a trinity 420 and it was a good setup and had a broader power band than the 421 cub that i have now but the cub runs much stronger on the topend. the cubs were designed for drag racing. plus, you'll find better prices for alot of things somewhere else.

You can get a 421 cub from a LOT of different builders. The best thing to do though is get you a list of different builders (just doing a search on here will give you several to start with), call them all up. Talk to them about what you're wanting to do and whoever gives you the best feeling, go with them.

I've had excellent dealings with F.A.S.T. racing, he does great work, superb customer service, and has almost everything you need in stock, or can get it quick. He'll have my business as long as I own quads
