kaotik1
What are you looking to spend? Something without a title will cost a bit less, than a titled frame. Also finding something on the same coast might help, I got quoted $170 from, connecticut to washington for the frame I have. That was UPS freight. moneybags
Yeah, why does it have to be new as long as its straight..............? Just cause somebody says that it is straight dose not make it so. I dont like to mess with outhers peoples stuff. If I start new their will not be a problem. I like to have peace of mind. dajogejr
If that doesn't work out, I'm going to be putting together a 96 roller with title...minus shocks. Since you're gonna make it a project, I can leave the frame as is or powder coat it....your choice. Let me know if you're interested. This frame is A1 perfectly straight as well... BigRed350x
if you buy a new frame from yamaha it wont have any numbers on it , and if it ever gets impounded from the cops you will never get it back , You can contact your local DMV and have them issue you a VIN and either tag the frame with a metal tag or etch the number into the frame or pound it in with some stamps. I usually etch the number in with a dremel engraving tool, then also weld a plate onto the frame somewhere else, and have the VIN pounded into the plate I weld in, along with my name, and some other information. Dates, etc. You can actually hide little plates like that in a couple places on a banshee frame and if someone steals it, unless the strip to the frame, they won't find them. I do it to all my stuff. I even hide name and initials in my engines and have either my name or initials on almost every part on my bike, should it ever get stolen. I would get insurance money, plus if I ever think i find the parts on down the road, i have a way to prove if they are mine or not. - Jared
moneybags
Thanks for all the deals but I will hafto pass for right now. I took a 2X4 to my frame today and made it better but far from perfect. Also, jeff has my 06 moter right now. I havent talked to him yet to see what he can talk me into and what it'l coast. So I'd better just stop spending wile I'm ahead. Bigred350x thanks for that info you posted. I started reading a poast on that but left in the middel and could not find it agin. My DMV is right around the corner and I never hafto wait more then 10 min. Maby I will stop in to make sure every thing is the same over hear. Kinda of curies to see what the vin plate would look like. Hope it is not big and bulky. Thanks
