baddsheee
My neighbors don't really like it either. I think it's because they don't have a banshee. They don't tell me anything but I don't go WOT either. A few blocks a way I got some desert to play with. NYUK
believe me i have done it. i would do work to my drag bike.then take it for a rip, and if any of you are farmiliar with city row houses, the noise was deafening. i would do a quick rip around 5 blocks, but i would leave my garage door open so i could park it in a hurry. neighbors would be out and the po po would be down my driveway in 5 min. MILO
you guys are out of line calling these people picky old pricks, bastards, assholes, whatever... you don't understand that people who don't own atv's or bikes, even street bikes, don't understand the culture of those of us who do. if they liked them, they would have their own. but they don't like them to that point, or some even despise them, especially our screaming 2 strokes. then again, the 4 strokes anymore are just as annoying sound wise. anyway, if you are riding on the street you are breaking the law, and also breaking up their peace and quiet, or piece of mind of relaxing in their own home. if you are going to live anywhere where your roads are "streets" then my opinion is you should stay off them, always. there's no "streets" for about 5-6 miles from my house in one direction, and about 20 miles or more any other other direction, and some of my neighbors still get pissed off if they see someone on the road on a quad or dirt bike. but they have every right to. hell, i've had bikes/quads all my life and my little neighbor and his buddies pissed me off riding up and down the road all the time. drag racing, wheelie contests, and so on. the noise is extremely irritating sometimes, especially when your baby wakes up screaming, you can't hear your tv, or whatever. you have to understand that not everybody is tolerant of things that other people may enjoy. i'm sure there are things that your neighbor's would do that would piss you off as well. it's the same deal, bud. respect the law and peoples privacy, or learn to deal with the consequences. fastrthnu
yea I get that. They should call the police. not come out and talk to me like Im a pos. From now on ill bitch. Every time a loud truck or chopper goes by, or when they blast their car sterio or at home when I can here the radio from 4 houses away. It annoying when Im taking a nap and 3 people are outside cutting grass and running annoying 2 stroke leaf blowers and weed eater Ride a bike on the sidewalk by my house Im going to come out screaming like an asshole that you might run over my cat. Thats fine everyone else breaks small laws too and does annoying crap. Ill fire back. When I rode my 4 stroke eone would smile and wave back no one cared. No all the sudden. Like I said one guy who came out yellin at me like I was his kid parked 2 cars on the sidewalk on Friday. So as soon as I parked I called code enforcement. His driveway was full. So what. He was breaking the law and could get towed, and my GF father works dispatch for a tow company. Next time Ill call to have them towed away and he can pay stupid money to get em back. It wasnt hurting anyone, but its agains the law to park on the sidewalk. Ill just be a dick back. I dont get people. Just tell me to please stop or call the POLICE! Dont work on your home without a permit, park illegally, blast you music rev your harley, work on you car in your driveway(yes you cant even change your tires here), whatever. Ill be a dick too. Its not like I sell drugs to their kids, running joggers of the road, dusting up the place, messing up their lawns. Stupid petty crap. moneybags
About 3 years ago I had a CR125. Their is a trail about 300 feet from my drivway to get to a good riden spot. 3rd time I was coming back to my house and a cop saw me on the road. By this time I am in my drivway with my helment off. They pulled up in my drivway with their lights on. Called for back up. 3 more cop cars are in my driveway now. Long storey short. They put my 2002 CR 125 on the back of a tow truck and inpounded it. I onley had my CR for about 1 week befor this happened. They took my shit and put it in impound for 30 days. I was lukey that I was able to get it out after 11 days. I had just bought my cr out of state and had not registered it yet. They let my get it out earley so that I could take it down to DMV and they could look at the vin numbers. BLAW BlAW BLAW That coast me 370 dolleres to ride on the road one time for less then 300 feet. I will never ride on the road agine. If I would have had to pay the impound fee on 30 days (around $1100)I would of gone postal. I would rather have the neighbors yell at my rather then call the cops any day of the week. One of the werst fellings is watching the cops and tow truck driver take my sh_t away.

fastrthnu
its people like you we can thank for not having anywhere to ride.its usually the old people that own the land we like to ride on dumbass. When did everyone get the right to trespass? I only ride on city property or a paid track or friends property. People get kicked out of places like that for littering, dumping, growing drugs, and fires. There is water treatment land that goes on for days near land I ride on and when they bought it they posted no trespassing. Alot of people still go riding in there anyways, but I dont because I respect other peoples property. What does property have to do with 3 passes down the road not even exceeding 3rd gear? Trespassing is far more punishable law than riding on a side street. Infact the owner reserves the right to shoot you.
CMAC
I see both sides, Originally live just north of millwakee wi, moved up to wi-up boarder back when i was in like 13. IT was unbelievable, you could ride a atv-snowmobile down any rode in town -the main drag. But through the years dumb fucks had to be ripping down the roads at 2 in the morning full throttle. The out of towners were the worst (thought they owned the place). Now there is a few designated roads to get to gas stations. Now the same dumb asses who got the laws changed are the same m-f's whining about them. :shoothead: But on the other hand, after high school i moved back down state wi to get an apprenticeship. The street me and my bro lived on were pretty cool. there were two brother that lived next door that both raced quads. WE would take them for test burns Once IN AWHILE. We didnt run full throttle or anything and no one ever said anything infact i think they got a kick out of the tricked out wide ass machines. Then i see the point of listen to some of the fing harley's going up the street, you can here them from 5 blocks away. Anyway i live back in the northland and there are more and more people shutting there land down that trails have ran through for years cuase their sick of idiots :: If the Democrates get their way and shut down the state and national forests to atvs and snowmobiles, i might as well sell al my machines and get horses. BUT i suppose i wouldnt be able to ride them either becuase their shitting on the trails :yelrotflmao: Point is respect other peoples shit-slow down when your around people and houses and join a atv club so we can fight to keep the riding spots open, where ever you may live
RIPPEN
What all his boils down to IMO is RESPECT... You shouldn't ride your bike on the street and they shouldn't come out and talk at you like some punk ass kid.. I have taken a rip or two up the street every once and a great while but I have done it in moderation.. To a degree I to see the point of both sides.. How many of you have neighbors(or yourself) have dogs that bark CONSTANTLY??? To me that is just as bad a hearing a bike rip up and down the street all day.. People need to let some things slide and others need to be respectfull of their neighbors.. In this particular case I would say I would have to side with fastrthnu in the argument that his neighbors should have asked him respectfully not to ride around their neighborhood.. If he continued then I would say well your breaking the law yada yada yada.. RIPPEN

4strokessuck
When you live in tight suburbs like I do, theres a certain level of toleration and consideration that needs to be given to all your neighbors. The houses in my town are only separated by the width of the driveway. I've done the occasional blast up and down my street on my shee. The neighbors tolerate it cause there will be one day when they have a backyard BBQ, or a car stereo tune on the street, or even a front yard screaming contest and the last thing you want is some dick sticking their nose in your business. As long as it isn't CONSTANT, everybody gets along. I totally understand your anger. If you did it once or twice, That's tolerable. Do that once every other week, fine with me. If someone bitches about that, fu@k em. Wait for them to slip up then get them back. Illegal or not, you only live once. Have fun. Shoot, EVERYWHERE I ride is illegal (Jersey). As long you don't get caught, you didn't do it, and noone cares. Don't take shit from others. Later.
4strokessuck
I had probs editing my post so here: Oh yeah, the consideration part. I've had neighbors ask me "not today, my kid's sick" or "not this late, (10:00pm) I got work tomm." and I totally respect that. I've done everything from parties to tuning a 11 sec. car in my garage and half the time my neighbors ask me how I made out. I've been asked to stop one day, and then shared beers with them on their porch a week later. There's times when I don't like what someone else is doing on my block. If i'm cool about it, we usually reach an agreement. If I went over there and bitched, they'll probably tell me to fornicate with myself, but not that nicely. Good luck.
