Dgrey Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 THEY WORK AWESOME!!! I used to have Sand Skates I think they are called? They are the ones with 8 cups and they are in a "check" mark style. They hooked up okay and were awesome for turning. Then I got 8 cup hauler style paddles for the bike and they worked awesome for hooking up and sucked ass turning. These new tires ROCK IN BOTH areas! Anyone else have them and like them or not? I ride at Glamis and Gordon's well so its all soft sand. Quote
Animalman294 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 The V blades are designed like that so they can turn better, and flat paddles are designed to go in a straight line which is why they don't turn so good. Those new paddles look like a modified Gecko design................. Quote
okbeast Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Hmm, interesting. My Sand Star V-paddles hook pretty nice in the wetter sand and are awesome turning in anything. As much sh*t as the Gecko's get I wonder how these will fair? Quote

My uncle had the gecko's on his yzf450 and only rode them one desert trip because he hated them so much. He went out and got sand stars and is now happy again. Quote
MDS2106 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 They look like they weight about 30lbs each Quote
csrmel Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 looks like a good low cost alternative to real paddles. i dont think the average banshee owner who plays in a sandbox really needs $200 a piece tyres. Quote
Animalman294 Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 It depends on how big that sand box is and how fast you want to get to the other side............... But I agree with the quality of those tires, but hey those paddles are better in the sand than none at all....... Quote
