Handyman
I was wondering if anyone here has any info on the Works shocks from Cascade?? Saw that they were fairly in-expensive front set compared to others I've seen on line

Handyman
I know they will be easy to talk to. Everytime I ask a seller how their product is they ALWAYS say " It's the best you will find" or " this will be perrfect for you" etc... I just want to know if anyone has actually ridden a shee or anything with their shocks
racer
are you sure they arent just a dealer? meaning its the same shock..........
dawarriorman
What Works does (and Elka too now I believe) is that dealers can have a batch of shocks made to their specifications (as in 2 different MX shocks, one valved for heavy people, and another for lighter people). That way they have something in stock to give to you if you want it now. And its cheaper than buying from the manufacturer. But your not getting shocks made to your riding style as you might be led to believe, your getting the closest thing they have to your specifications. Now some dealers still will write down everything you say and send that to get the shocks built for you, but I'd at least ask. If it ships in a day or 2, it was probably already made. scooter
i think your right when i called elka to get prices on shocks they asked me alot of questions about my riding style my weight and so on when i talked to other distributors they asked my weight and said they had them in stock and could ship them in a couple days elka said they were two weeks before shipping.so i think if you buy them direct there set up better and the price wasnt that much more
odaen
The odds are good that the works shocks from Cascade are setup for the dunes. I'm sure they have different flavors for different weights as well. I think they are just the works steeler variety, but they polish some of them for some nice blinging sand machines.
