Red count me in man, i could bring some of my buds too and maybe even talk alticity into going. That would be sick. Would a tent be alright out there?

The normal parking areas and places designated as "camping" areas at KP would suck with a tent, but I would be more than happy to hook you up with one of the spots I know of that would get you out of the wind. and away from people if you want. The main parking areas are only semi decent for campers and trailers and stuff. I have a few places I've found where I like to camp in my tent or just sleep in the back of my truck sometimes in the summer.

If you need, you can crash at my place if you want to stay indoors some place. I will probably just drive out to the dunes and ride each day since I live a half hour away. Plus I really enjoy a hot shower at the end of the day. LOL!

I am part of the 'nebraska crew' I would love to go, but it will have to be earlier June, or after the 4th of July. I sell and organize the fireworks sales and display in town. So the week prior and up to the 4th are very busy for me. Do not by any means plan your ride around what I have said. I am planning on making it to KP sometime this year though. If nothing else I'll shoot you a message and we can meet up then.

Staying in a tent would not be great in the main lot. First time I was there, my buddies stayed in a tent, we were in my camper. The wind came up really bad, and they moved like 6-10 feet away from the camper, and they were in the tent. The wind up there can be wicked, but its good because it changes the dunes so much. I am going to have our camper, and out 8.5x20 toyhauler up there so I will have some room if someone needs to crash there...

Sounds good! I'm kinda leaning towards the beginning of july. really nice weather IMO, but I LOVE the heat. It gets up around high 80's and low 90's in july at KP. Early july is the best riding I think. Maybe after the 4th of july some time?

What you guys say? Week after the 4th? Weekend after the 4th??

Yes, winds at KP get bad at night! So plan accordingly. Wind during the day is minimal, especially in the summer, but at night it gets wicked winds out there.

As he said, its great because you ride fresh sand every morning for the most part, but the wind does suck at night. I can provide people better camping spots, since I'm a local, I know the hidden spots that get you out of the night-time wind. But I keep the best spot of all for myself, duh! LOL

If there is no wind, night riding is the best out there. I love night rides at KP if there's no wind. Some of the best and scariest riding you will ever have.

I can show you all kinds of pics of his shee if you want. Its just a red/black 10mil cub. Its clean and pretty fast. I will make a post on DR here in a week or two. Want to get a date figured out with the people that aren't so "local" to wyoming, so we can accomodate them, then we will let the local wyoming and colorado crowd know the dates, because they can usually just show up whenever, and its a lot shorter drive for them anyway, and most of them can come any time of the year.

I'm just trying to set up a BHQ meet at KP for people who aren't really "the locals" and get them out here durng the best time of the year.

Give me some options on dates people!

Right now it looks like the week/weekend after the 4th might be good. We could make it a week-long meet I guess. start it on the 4th of july weekend and go to the weekend after that. I would be out there every day, no doubt.

Or

The next weekend, Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th

Either weekend works for me, its all up to everybody else.
