Bansh-eman Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 anyone used the new alloy boltz kits after the new owner took over? i want to buy a full polished ss bolt set for my project for this summer but i wasnt sure how well the quality was with the new owner/... Quote
Bansh-eman Posted January 4, 2007 Author Report Posted January 4, 2007 i think im going with the fastenerguy instead of alloyboltz.. anyfeedback on his kits? Quote
Ting Ting Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Kit isn't bad but some of the bolts didn't fit but nothing major. They realy look good  Quote
theshee Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 About alloyboltz... I got a set and they all worked good, except all of them with a self locking nut. The bolt would not go through the nut because of the nylon lock in them. The bolt will strip before it goes through, so if you get alloyboltz, you may as well get different nuts, theirs suck. Other then that it was a great kit though. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted January 5, 2007 Author Report Posted January 5, 2007 i was looking at fastenerguys kit... his is a little smaller but its ss polished where alloys is just ss.... and the other guys is cheaper.... they look like the same bolts but how knows... im going to try his set and see... casue i want something that matches all my new bling... scooter Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 kinda off the topic but my local ace hardware just put in a big chrome bolt section they have allen head pan head hex head just about everything you might need in metric and standard and the prices seem fair too just a thought you might check them out. you can buy them one at a time as you need them or all at once Quote

HotCarl Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I've heard second hand that the bolts are not as polished as he says they are. Still, I plan on buy a set, but I'm not going to be dissapointed if they are not as polished as his pics. Quote
