ok guy' i am thinking about buying another atv. I sold mine over a year ago. i had a warrior, 300 ex, and a trx 250r. i am looking for a trail quad. i liked the warriors size, but not its power. i want to know what things i should be looking out for when shopping around like banshee speciac problems. and what mods to do reliable and trail friendly. power wise i liked my 250r it was piped ported and had v force 2s. and would like similar power but with the bigger chassis thats why i am considering the shee. thanks

Na you cant go from a 250R to a blaster plus he said he likes the larger frame. Look for a Banshee with extended A Arms and shocks that would be ideal. You will pay more for it but you will probably want them later on anyway and shock$$$$ and a arm$$$ are no joke on the wallet. When your buying a Banshee check the plugs see if it was ran lean. Do a compression test 120 and over your good. Pick it all the way up and look at the chassie, look for stress marks, dents, bends, and cracks everywhere. Make sure the plastics align with the frame. Shake the front tires back and forth side to side check for any play. Do the same to the rears make sure the axle is straight and the carier is in good working order. Start it up and ride it around and see if thats the kind of power your looking for. Good luck

the big reason i am considering a shee price size and power. around here i can get a verry nice one for under 3000. i need good power (my snowmobile is piped zr 800 145 hp 108 ft lbs of tq) my main cocearn is the power band and how hard it hits compared to my 250r.

Unless your 250r was modded out the ying yang the power will RIP Way harder than any piped/reed 250R. Plus you can make the Banshee as fast as your arms can hold in there sockets! 4 Strokes are trail terittory but you can always mod a Banshee to hang with them as far as handleing goes and its a twin 2 stroke so no worry about power. I ride in woods and Harescrambles and I wouldent trade my Banshee for any bike out there but I do have to invest some serious cash so I can hang with the YFZs and 450rs in the trails.
