q8banshee3883
I found the Works Performance A-T Steeler Front Shocks (+2) at Rockymountainatv for $349.99 and From the look of it these might be my new Shocks, However before i purchase these i want to know how do they perform at small MX jumps? I used the Stock Shocks for a while in MX and they are a bit bouncy the front end always falls first due to lack of travel, I think these might be my next set of shocks. Last but not least does anyone know where i can get these for a cheaper price ? Thank you in advance, I really appreciate it if someone can shed some light on this
Bansh-eman
they should be fine... call and see how they are valved... pretty much any shock can be valved for jumping, with the exception of maybe shaws and other drag style shocks... Hollister_Hitman
rocky mountain sets them up for 175lbs. Go look here for works shocks http://cdracingonline.com/id27.htm
BlazinOne
Do yourself a favor and get them direct from Works. They wil cost a bit more, but they will set it up for your exact weight, riding style and tire size.I rebuilt and revalved alot of works shocks in the past.IMO they are the easiest shocks to work on.The tech at Works performance made it real easy. They are not the best shocks on the market, but if their set up right they will work great for most applications
q8banshee3883
Thank you for the replies, Ive just ordered goforitgraphics for the banshee, I am going to have a seat cover done for my shee aswell. I am going to wait to save a bit of $ for the Works
dawarriorman
Personally I wouldn't get a set of shocks without rezzies, especially if you want to hit the track. Riding mx will heat shocks up really quck, and without rezzies, they will fade. Not as bad as stock, but still pretty bad.
ClimbAnyHill
Here's a $300 idea since you're lookin at those. http://www.superiorsuspension.com/Shocks.htm The front stocks suck bad! Anything else is a major improvement.

Barrymaxx
Also, how smooth you are can make a hugh diffrence in how your shocks feel. If your smooth with your landings, youl probly never bottom out. Its the rough landings that really test the shocks. For light mx though, the works will be fine

q8banshee3883
06 shee, Good idea if the YFZ450 shocks retail cheaper than the Works that would be my alternative with +2,+1 A-Arm setup if that works
ClimbAnyHill
I hated riding on stocks. Felt like my arms wanted to rattle out of their sockets. I got me a pair of YFZ shocks & +2+1 A Arms. YFZ shocks work very well & roll very smooth over all the rocky crap. Biggest jump I tried was about 6 ft & had a smooth landing without bottoming out. You can find YFZ shocks from $100 to $200.
