:banghead: i bought my she feb. o6 and put t6's on it and i was too exited tojet so i took it for a spin. it ran great but no smoke out the exhaust so i stuck 240's in it.ran ok but no wot.put 220's in and took off the snorkle and it kicked ass but i still wasnt gettin good pull on the top end.i checked out the plugs a couple of times and thought they looked good(not a plug chop) .and then i found bhq..........i have not rode it since i have been chekin this site out, partly due to work and the cold weather.i am going to run with the lid on,no snork,500 to 1500 el.,blendzall and 93 pump at the man. rec. mix of 24:1 and start at 280's.ive done the searches but does this sound good for a starting point.and just in case , i didnt get the jet kit with the pipes cuz i didnt want to turn my air box into swiss cheese, i ride in way to much mud and water for that. thanks for any advice :notworthy: p.s. sorry for that 1st post thing . too many of these

not quiet sure what you getting at here but i think 280 might be rich at your elevation.and why cant you believe its still running? i think 32-1 would be fine

i will go with the 32:1 but i was running the 220's and judging from my searches it sounds way too lean.i am draining the old gas out tommorow, starting with the 280's and doing a plug chop.i cant believe its still runnng cuz i was running it so lean.....so much for my reliability concerns

I would go higher on the mains. Probably a 300 to do a plug check. It is always better to be rich than lean. You said cold weather so I'm assuming below freezing. Temps are important, what temps are you riding. If you drop in temp you go up on mains. Let us know.

I second starting fatter than 280's. You are at a pretty low elevation, and it is cold as you stated. 300's or 310's and go from there.
