06BaNsHeE
OK guys well about 6 months ago my dad sold my rancher350 4x4 to one of his closest friends.Well since he didnt have the 3000 in hand he told my dad hell give him 550 right there and pay him the rest the next month.Well as soon as he got it he ignores our calls,He picked up once and said to go fuck off that he wasnt going to pay.Well we still have the title and we have his number and we know were he works and all that stuff.I have pictures of me and him riding the day he got it.My question is thatv is there a chance we can get it back by going to the police station or will we have to do it the mean way and break into his backyard?.I wanted that money for my banshee but that pos that has known my dad for freakin ever(literally 30+years)FUCKED me. crazybluerider
If you have the title and it is still in your name just call the cops and tell them he stole it. They'll go over and get it for you.
Stroker81
You have the title just go take it, or just call the cops and explain the situation and take them over there with you to pick it up.
bigboybanshee
Do you have any kind of bill of sale stating he has given a deposit and will pay the rest later, or was this all done verbally?

Washburn
You have the title you own the quad, He basicaly stole it. dawarriorman
Don't tell him anything anymore. If he thinks your going to come and take it, he might just hide it somewhere. You can either take the police with you, or try and be your own repo man and steal it back. Either way, you still have the title, you still own the quad. Its up to you on how to get it back, but if it were me, Id just go in the middle of the night and take it.
NYUK
TAKE HIM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT. THAT IS WHAT THE POLICE WILL TELL YOU. IF YOU REPORT IT STOLEN, THATS FILING A FALSE REPORT..listen to me.
CFM
It sucks to be caught in the middle, I know... Personally, I would call and talk with a detective at a local PD, Just let him know what's going on. Then, the guy holding the quad gets "Certified letter return reciept required" With a 24-48 hour limit to return it or pay for it. Utherwise I'll come get it at the 48hrs with the cops if needed. If it goes "missing" well Det. smith at the PD already knows that's BS, and then you have all the info to get the police involved Cover both sides.... Don't worry, you'll get it back
06BaNsHeE
Thanks guys.I hope I get it back.Ride it a lil then sell it.I hope It still has the outlaws on and all the other stuf we put on it.
Animalman294
Yeah, contact the local law enforcement, but definately don't just go get it, because then you broke the law and then you are no better than he is in the court system. It may take you a while, but yes you will get your ride back. One thing I was wondering is if your dad was such long time friends with this guy, what the hell happened to make him act like this out of the blue...............
