ThE_BaNsHeE_mAn88
look on the side of the tire. if you are running an 18" mx tire you should run 5psi.
dawarriorman
look on the side of the tire. if you are running an 18" mx tire you should run 5psi. Way more than that for a mx tire. At least 7 lbs. http://www.itptires.com/tirereference.html Those are ITPs suggested pressure. And now that Ive been runnug mine at 7.5 lbs, I do notice a difference. 4strokessuck
I give it the old "push down on the tire with your hand" technique on the front tires. Too hard and you feel every rock, rut, and stump on the trail. The rear tires, I eye up the tread so it's level for that even grip

A good gauge is like 5 bucks top of the line is like 12 bucks. Its usually 5-6 psi front and rear. I will have to see what I like when I get my Razr 2s. EastCoast Banshee
On my razr mx tires i run 5 in the back but on the fronts i run 7-8. If i run 4-5 in the fronts i bend the shit out of the rims on big jumps. Fist few days i had them i was jumping with 5psi in the fronts and bent the lip on both my front rims i wasnt happy to say the least. I've bent a rear rim before from having too little pressure (I always have kept the fronts high). If your running mx tires on a track, you aren't worried about the ride anyways, you want performance. Ask anybody that races mx what pressure they run. Its going to be closer to 10.
