bigdaddy69
I'm in the same boat your are. I have the same exact mods done to mine except I have pro circuits, and stock sprokets. I cant decide what to do next. I called Jeff at F.A.S.T 2 days ago and spoke to him about getting some port work done. I think he pretty much sold me....give him a call & talk it over with him, maybe he can help you out...1-785-364-5325
Truckracer
Yep, you need some porting to match the pipes....

baddsheee
Trust me and get the port work. If you get it done from someone that knows what they're doing, it brings the banshee to life. I did it b4 the reeds and the head and very happy. A lot of people are happy with FAST ports. Go with the porting :woot:
Toomey Banshee
Get better rear tires before anything else. When I upgraded my 99 back in 2000 with the Toomeys I didnt notice what I thought would be a huge improvement until I got some better rear tires. They were one of the biggest improvements that I noticed until of course porting.
dajogejr
Yeah, I agree with Toomey... I put T5's on my stocker, already had PODs. The motor felt like it revved faster and stronger, but I was actually going just as fast if not a hair slower. Then, I put holeshot XCR tires on front and rear...(we were riding in a part grass, part dirt field then) And what a difference. I know this is a little off topic...but, it's another example. I took my cub out in a field with some friends, 6 over arm and the same holeshot rears. My buddy rode it, not impressed...etc. Then...went to the dunes and I had my hauler 10 rows on. WHOLE new world, needless to say... Tires are everything!!

06BaNsHeE
I already have holeshot hds.I only put on my stockers when im going to be riding around the house. They are really heavy to si I dont like them.Which tires hook up the best but are still really lightweight? Infamous039
If your gettin rear tires then, get RAZR 2's you wont be dissapointed lightweight and hook up like hell. You can even through wheelies easier in the dirt with Razr 2 tires.
Truckracer
Hmmm, I've had the razors and holeshots, don't like em, they don't hook that well. Unless you ride mud turf tamers are inexpensive and hook like glue.

locogato11283
for tires i would run stock yfz450 tires or kenda knarlys. i have tried every dirt tire out there and have found these 2 to perform the best in most applications. they hook harder and last longer than the rest, not to mention are cheaper. as for your mods, porting is going to make the biggest difference so i would suggest saving up and have some porting done. i see no point in going from a 26mm carb setup to 28mm. if youre gonna buy carbs might as well get some 33mm pwk. they will work well with a ported setup and if you ever decide to go with a stroker motor youll already have carbs thatll work.
