sand rocket
Put in the new intakes today. They look very nice! But heres the deal, Carb wont fit on left side. Pipe is in the way. ANyone else running the boss intake with cpis have this problem? It looks like i coud get them to fit without a pipe clamp, but what good would that be. Carbs are 34mm Mikuni flat slides. fastbanshee8
I have the same set up, and I just ended up tilting my carb to the inside. It's been like that for a year, and no problems so far. I also used some spacers between the pipe hangers and the frame, to gain a little bit more room. sand rocket
Ive been out trying to get them to fit. Looks like i need to but the hangers back on the rear, and space as much as i can get between the frame and the hanger, and hanger to silencer. Also going to have to cut off the nipples for the stock air box to fit the bigger filters.
fastbanshee8
Yeah, I forgot to mention that I also had to space my silencers out from the frame. I've got one of the FAT grab bars, and the silencers were hitting it. I think I used 3/8" spacers, front and rear.
jbooker82
I can image that is a tight fit. It is a tight fit with my toomey t5's.
majicmike
I can image that is a tight fit. It is a tight fit with my toomey t5's. There are intake angled to the right just to avoid this.
