used to run them on my old truck was some 24 inchers i think 84 gmc with a 305. if its fuel injected like most are now aday they really sound funny, well a buddies did.

very loud you cant sneak around, if mash it you will be noticed for sure.when i was in high school it seemed like the cool thing to have. loud truck.

now i like quietness.

the shorter they are the louder they are.

"What year is your truck? If it's a '00-up 2500 I wouldnt run glasspacks unless you want alot of resonance. Those trucks have alot of problems with resonance."

what is resonance that fart sound u get?

its a 02 with the 6.0 vortec think it will sound mickey mouse?

"Exhaust

This was the set-up I have on my truck. lol It was to quiet for me so I removed the muffler and the tail section, now it's a little louder and dumps. You can see the resonators, and yes they are pretty much the same as a glasspack, but they are to quiet and even out air pressures."

thats pretty sweet looked up my truck 600 bucks wow probly worth every penny

i liked the glasspack idea tho cuz it was only 25 bucks

wow lee really fd up i cant even see what im typing

I wouldnt put on glasspaks unless you like cops. You will be pulled over all the time. I wouldnt pay the money for the flowmasters either. Magnaflow stainless steel is the way to go. Do it right the first time. My 05 dakota has a full custom polished stainless system with a 31 inch long round magnaflow. A a great 3.5 inch tip, its the perfect rumble and when i step on it it hauls ass. Only cost 200 bucks too.

i run them on my 77 k10 with headers and 2 1/4 pipe. its very loud when you get in to it. ive had them for four years and knock on wood never been pulled over for. they dont last long though they burn out quick i go thru a set a year. i think the only way they sound good is on a v8 with headers and no cats with atleast 2 inch pipe, other then that they sound like total shit. for what you got i would get the flowmaster a friend has a 2500 hd with the 8.1 in it he did the flowmaster cat back with the k&n intake and it was a totally different truck after that.

I have thrush glass packs on my 89 F150. I also have hooker headers with no cats. They arent overly loud. They have a real nice sound to them. Thrush does somthing different. I aslo have 2.25 exhaust pipe. It is the farthest thing from sounding like a Ranch Rocket. I would have taken them off if they did sound like that. I hate cackling. Sounds like a VW Bug on drugs.

My bro had these on his built chevy. Headers, no cats 2.5 in exhaust tubing. They are real lould. They reduce your exhast noise by 2 to 4 db over just straight pipe. They just have ceramic in side. No fiberglass at all, They sounded good on his pickup though.
