i cant get by banshee to run right after trying everything what is meant by syncing and how do u do it?

It is synchronizing the carbs. You make the slides in them open up at the exactl same time. To do it take your air filter off so that you can look into the carbs. There are also little see through views on the carbs. I don;t remember which one you have to adjust but you are supposed to only adjust one side to match the other. To do it you will have to adjust the nuts on top of the carbs where the throttle cable goes in. You can look at the slides through the back of the carb to see if they are at the same height.

You should post your bikes symtoms so that people can give you a better Idea of what is wrong with it. It probaly isn;t you carbs not being sync'ed

you can try all day long to sync them by eye but your not going to get it right on...

do your self and your motor a favor... get ahold of jeff at F.A.S.T. bhq member name fastoys

he sells a sync tool for 50 bucks... you will not get any closer then that thing will get you...

first you set the flow at idle.. once thats one then you crack your throtle 1/4 and adjust your slides to match... its very ez and gets them DEAD on

Mine where off by quite a bit. The right side would lift before the left side, so I adjusted the Left.

My tors are off, so I turned the top screw Counter Clock Wise, like you would to loosen a screw. This tightens up the tension of the cable with the slide and a few trys later, they where right on.

Hope this helps

Here's how I do it. Back off the idle screws and make sure the carb tops are on tight. Open the thumb/twist throttle up and set the carb slides even with the top of each carb. I just stick my finger in and feel so each sides slide is open up even at the top of the carb. Usually the cutaway side of the carb slides are the easiest to feel. Tighten the adjuster screws. Double check to make sure the carbs still hit wide open throttle. Close the throttle now and turn in the idle screws till they snug up with the slides. Turn the idle screws in equal amounts until the idle is set where you like it and you're done.

Here are a couple of links that explain carb sync and tools used for it with pics too.

We have used the tool that Jim talks about and it will work too but have found ours to be easier and more user friendly.
