ZX12_guy
I'm not going to be the one to start the oil flame war, but I will say I have been using Amsoil synthetic for years with no problems and/or trouble at all.....

Washburn
ya i know ill get a million opinions, but is this klots benol good stuff? Its good oil but I have seen alot of engines seize up from Klotz. Now that is just my expirence with the oil and alot of people here use it and sewar by it. I use Castrol 927. Look up Klotz and Maxima Castrol and see witch one YOU think is the best.
sheefreak
I like the Klotz and Benol in my opinion is very comparable to 927. I personally like the Supertechniplate(20% Benol, 80% synthetic), I think it burns cleaner. I used to run benol, and switched to the techniplate 3 yrs ago and have had no problems. phxrider
I've been using Klotz Supertechniplate(20% Benol, 80% synthetic) for a year now. No sludge build up in the carbs, not a lot of smoke and smells like your running racing gas! Bell Ray gear saver for the crankcase. Banshee_LE
I use Amsoil Dominator with no problems at all.
jbooker82
Klotz Supertechniplate here. Dont run the Klotz Benol in cold weather. They say it starts to seperate from the fuel at temps around 35 deg F. It would be fine if you in the southern states though. Here is a huge thead about oils. I just go the info from the manufactures web page. Premix Page LINK
sheefreak
Here is some good info on 2-stroke oils from an unbiased source. okbeast
Another user of Klotz Super-Techniplate here. If you want opinions that you could actually stand by, I'd say call up the main engine builders over the U.S. and see what they use. We're all gonna have our opinion, and it's probably going to be w/e was used in the bike when we bought it or what someone recommended, and if it hasn't failed yet then it's probably good stuff, lol. kubiac3
I personally run amsoil dominator at 50:1. I use to run castor 927 but after tearing my engine apart recently I switched to amsoil since it seems the castor oil doesnt burn clean at all. All oils have a btu rating on them which is how well it burns. I know amsoil has a +1 btu rating so it burns pretty good, im sure other oils out there have the same rating so check that out as well on whatever you decide to run.
