MADCAT501
Hey Guys. Let me start by saying that you are all a wealth of good information. It is just awsome to read the threads on this site. Just Two months ago I bought an 06 Banshee brand spanking new. On the first ride it went hard all day and then died. It kick starts first go and idles like a dream, but as soon as you open the throttle it just boggs hard and stops completley. The first time I cleaned out the carbs and it ran fine again for 3 hours and stopped again. It has done this every time I ride it. Some times I'll come home, kick it over and its fine. Other times it stayes the same and needs attention again. Do you think its the TORS or what ?? Any help would be apreciated. Cheers guys :shoothead: Edited December 6, 2006 by MADCAT501
sheefreak
Sounds like the TORS. I am assuming your parking brake isn't on because it has been intermittent. Take and unplug the little black box under the gas tank and that will eliminate the TORS system.
jbooker82
What oil and what ratio are you mixing your oil at?
MADCAT501
What oil and what ratio are you mixing your oil at? I run 95 octain unleaded fuel, with Motul 710 at 33:1 ratio. Does this mix sound ok to you?
boonman
I would double check your TORS connections, and make sure the parking brake is off. If you want to eliminate the TORS from the equation, and make sure it isn't that, unplug the black box under the fuel tank on the left hand side of the bike (left hand side when siting on it). It is adjacent to the coil. That will eliminate the TORS function and if it runs great, you know one of the switches is either faulty, or the e-brake is on slightly. Wallrat
Next time it idles, check to see if you've got exhaust coming out both pipes. Put ur hand back there and see if the pressure feels even.

MADCAT501
i know this is off subject but how did u get those white walls i love that it looks great. did u use paint pen? Yeah looks good hey.. I just painted them with white model paint. It was really just for a few photos while it was new. It lasted about one ride and all was gone. Worth the pictures though... For that other reply: I have checked the pressure out of each pipe and all is good. Its currently in the Yamaha Dealer. They are checking the electrics. Only problem over here in oz is that they are a little rare and not many dealers know what they are doing. I think Im gunna unplug the TORS and give it a blast. The shit of a thing is brand new. It shouldn't really be much.... I'll be shitty if it is. :: Cheers guys

Toomey Banshee
Unplug your parking brake asap. That'll be next. Just follow the wire from the parking brake assembly and unplug it. You'll be good to go till you start gettin beat. Thats when the bucks start piling up. Congrats on your machine.
