Supergrandam Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 For trail riding, would it be better to use a stock crank or a plus 4mm crank? Advantanges of each? Thanks, Joe Quote

Thanks, Joe How much of a power increase will I get from the 4 mm crank vs the stocker? Where can I get my stock crank refurbished and what will it cost me? The honda shop said they sent them off to get new bearings installed. Quote

If you only need bearings instaled thats fine but if you need a rebuild your better off getting an aftermarket crank. 4mills are nice. And I would go to a local builder 9 times out of 10 they are cheaper and just as good if not better than a honda shop. Quote
Supergrandam Posted December 1, 2006 Author Report Posted December 1, 2006 I have the following done to my bike. 2001 Banshee White T-6 toomys K and n filter Boyseen reeds Noss head 4 degree key DG bumper and nerf bars I was in the process of re ringing my banshee when I found the crank bearings were a little loose. I would like to have the 4mm crank, but if I can get the stocker redone alot cheaper, I will proberly go that route. I don't really have any good local shops to go to, so does anyone know of one I can send it to and what it should cost more or less? Thanks, Joe Quote

Thanks, Joe I had Vince at mrcrankshaft.com true/weld my stock crank for $65.00 and that included shipping back to me also. I live in texas and his shop is in Kentucky. He can also rebuild them, new bearings, etc. Great guy to work with, just give him a call. Quote
kb7kuh Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 For a stock crank, true & weld is a must if your going to be doing upgrades (more power) to the motor. Quote
