Nitros Oxide

REAPER

nitrous and nitro are two different things.. nitrous yes my friends run it and i plan on running it on my big motor as well.. the wet shots yield more gain that the dry and are much more violent when its sprayed.. the dry set ups are tipically more forgiving than the wets as well..

nitro is short for nitro-methane basically its what the top fuel cars run.. with that i havent had the chance to mess with it just yet but i plan on it.. with this type of fuel additive if your tuning isnt spot on your motor will grenade..

more than likely im going to try the nitro out on a smaller motor before i put it on the bigger ones..

it wont gernade.. it will just melt your pistons and rings..

we used to run it in our go-karts when we raced... you can tell big time if your running nitro or not... you dont have to be spot on wit your jetting but you sure as hell cant be way out like some of these guys run their bikes and think you will get away with it...

whats the difference in a wet shot and dry shot? why is a dry shot harder on your motor than a wet shot? just wondering.

dry shot sprays only nitrous in.usually the nozzles are in either the air filters or in the air intake area.the wet shot sprays gas and nitrous when its activated.the nozzles are usually installed in the intakes or in reed spacers.the wet shot is much better because theres less chance of the motor running lean when sprayed.nitrous does lean out the motor and quick.with the dry shot the motor has to be jetted rich and with the wet shot the motor can be jetted close to right on because extra gas is sprayed with the nitrous.

i knew the same thing. been runing both (at different times of course) on my mustang. why did 2 people say a wet shot was harder on a banshee? i have never run it on a 2 stoke and was wondering if someone could explain it.

its not that a wet shot is harder on a banshee, its more violent when shot.. we put a 15shot (wet) on a 7mm stock cylinder.. when it was dynoed it hit 107-109hp.. when it was ran with the nitrous it would blow the tires away instantly... tried two different sets of tires (to make sure it wasnt a tire issue) with the same results..

i say grenade because there will be nothing useful left after..

running nitro is similar to runing nitrous but spraying it all the time. so it ends up being harder on crank bearings, pistons, ect.. than just running nitrous..
