ronniesraptor
ive seen some people list in their mods override 1-4 and override2-5. are all override transmissions the same?
Banshee4Drag
the idea is the same, clutchless shifting. but they can be cut different 1-5 nutral down, 2-5 is mostly a drag cut 1-5 is mostly a duneable cut

lowriderb
the different cuts in the trans depends on the bike that is being built.. a 1-4 works best with the smaller motors, launching in 1st and going through the traps in 4th geared for that. the bigger motors usually like to have 5th gear so the owner may decide to have 1-5 or 2-5 depending on rider and what gear they want to launch in.. with the really big motors they normally cut 1-5's launch in 1st just to get the bike rolling and then hammer 2nd gear.. the neutral down options are just personal preferences. the dunables are just what your going to be doing with the bike at that time.. Banshee4Drag
are a full override 1-6 dunable, but there are down fall's to overide's if your main purpose is not drag raceing do not get one.

locogato11283
ive got a 2-4 duneable and it works perfect. shift up and down clutch or no clutch. its smoooth. oh yea, i dont have any other shift mods other than the FAST modded shift shaft. if you arent drag racing you need a duneable. you can ride it all day like a regular tranny and itll be fine. ive got lots of time on my 2-4 duneable in my 10mm cub and it still works great. my bro has a 2-4 duneable in his 4mm cub and his works great too. if i was gonna have a banshee to trail ride with it would def have a duneable. it just so happens we dont really use ours for much other than hillclimbing all year and a couple trips to the dunes..but we do a lot of messin around in the field and theyve always worked well... Bansh-eman
so 4Drag you didnt expain the downfalls to having a override if your not only doing drag... a full throttle shift is a full throttle shift either way... i do agree on who cuts them will make a differance on how well they perform but it has nothhing to do with being on a drag or in a dune using it... if its going to break becaue the cuts where done wrong its going to break reguardless of where your riding it... locogato11283
so 4Drag you didnt expain the downfalls to having a override if your not only doing drag... the downfall to having a regular override is that you cant down shift while youre riding. you have to come to a complete stop before you shift down or youll bend shift forks. a full throttle shift is a full throttle shift either way... i dont understand what youre talking about? with either a regular or duneable you can do full throttle shifts up. the difference is that with the duneable you can also go back down and be perfectly safe.. i do agree on who cuts them will make a differance on how well they perform but it has nothhing to do with being on a drag or in a dune using it... if its going to break becaue the cuts where done wrong its going to break reguardless of where your riding it... most overrides seem to be pretty reliable to me. i think youre missing the point. there are 2 totally different types of override tannys..one that can be shifted only up (regular override) and one that can be shifted up and down (duneable override)..we arent talking about just one type of override in drags or dunes. is that what youre talkin about? im confused?
