CFM
Got to give credit for persistance (sp)? You can't honestly/possibly believe people are that dull, do you?... Why even type the posts? Someone trace/lookup the IP on this user, sister is a criminal lawyer in washington DC, and her husband a state trooper... What psyical address are the quads located at? Post it up. My guess is the posts are out of some dicrepid contry bounced off satilitte or filtered through untraceable channels. What's your full name and what college are you enrolled in? Don't bullshit, I'll check... Post that, and I'll issue a formal appology and leave you alone for good. This shit never ceases to amaze me.. BigRed350x
I agree. He keeps inviting people to come pick them up, but hasn't posted an address yet. How about you post up a name, address, what college you are going to, and how about the pics you promised LAST weekend? Pics of the Certificate Of Origin with the VIN number next to the VIN on the frame of the bike, and how about some sort of receipt of purchase or a shipping ticket to show you got them legally if they really exist. People don't just give someone else a bunch of crated bikes. Post a pic of the shipping ticket. Douche.
CFM
Crated bikes are legally bound to be assembled by US certified Yamaha mechanics in order to be covered by their insurerer. There is no way around that period. Point of origin, bill of laiding, prof of delivery, and MSO's is what is needed here. If the "MSO's" are included in the crate with the machine, I'd love to cross-reference those with the manufacturer/insurer... Point blank. I'd love to have a container of "lost in transit" 2007 Banshee's obviously bound for Canada. Hell, give me some 2006 R1's and I'd be even more happy.. If true, probably spent some $$ for the port authority gaurds to "miss" the truck rollig through the gates.. Shit does happen, I was delayed delivery on my 03 GSXR 1000 because the cargo ship took on heavy winds/waves. It took 40ish more days for delivery b/c there were 20-30 40 foot containers full of GSXR's lost in heavy seas during transport from Japan.... Febuary 03.. raptorooster
Im not sure what the deal is on all of this, I worked at a very high volume dealer of Yamaha machines in Minnesota and I can tell you for a fact that there is much associated paperwork regarding atv's, certificates of origin, things of that like. And I also know for a fact that in 2001 when I purchased my 2002 from the dealer at dealer cost plus the freight fee that is not an option I paid 4650, I highly doubt that they have gone down in price at all. thats just my 2 cents, I dont care how much volume you buy, they would not be that cheap!! onefastbanshee
It does seem rather fishey and to top it off, this guy still hasn't posted pictures or done anything to prove us wrong. On the other hand if he is scamming he would ask for a payment previous to meeting with you. Whats he gonna do, rob several people at gun point when they go meet with him to pick up the bike?? That would probably only work the first 2 times until cops could catch up with him. So I dunno I would like to see the outcome of this one. BTW he still won't answer his phone? He even stated how busy he was and how sorry he was but I don't see any effort on his part! If he was so sorry he would make sure to answer all phone calls pertaining to the bikes. I even left a message and still no response! Edited November 25, 2006 by onefastbanshee

KingSpade
i think we should all just put this one to bed. if the guy actually had these bikes and they were indeed legit, this issue of getting ahold of him or him posting pics would not be a concern. obviously he was just trying to find a few dumb fucks to get all giddy and send him some money to hold one or a few or he was just trying to see how much heat he could develop here. in my opinion the whole deal sounds pretty fuckin shady
