PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 I've seen them for sale at Scheels or any place that sells skiing/tubing stuff. Although I know there was a big uproar about them as many people have gotten hurt. I saw a news story about a kid that was learning to walk again after breaking his neck on one. They look like a blast but they can get pretty high and flip over in the air and as we all know you hit the water from 20 feet flat on your back it's gonna hurt. If anybody gets one post the vids they are cool to watch and good luck with it. Quote
dawarriorman Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 A lot of places your not allowed to do that anymore. They recalled some of the popular rafts taht people used to do that, so its prolly harder to find one now? Looks hella fun though. Theres been a bunch of people killed on these things this summer. And most of them have been pulled off the market. Its just not an aerodynamically stable design. One wrong gust of wind, and all the sudden you take off 40 ft in the air and flip over. Not something Id try. Quote
bansheefourseven Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 The manufacturers pulled those from the market due to 2 Deaths and multiple serious head neck and spine injuries. your only supposed to go 20 mph or less on those and if you fall off from more than 10-15 feet in the air going 40 mph you do the math!!! Id love to try it but its the stupid fucks that get 200 feet of rope and have the damn thing 30 or 40 feet in the air going WFO and then fall off and fuck themselfs up that ruin it for all. There was several news stories about them around here this summer. Some 16 yr old girl used to ride around a lake out here by us every weekend . They called here Kite Girl , Shes paralized now after taking a nasty spill from 20 feet in the air You can find em on ebay just dont be a jack ass when using it and youl be fine Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 You can get hurt on anything.I rather land on water 15ft high in the air then land on rocks at 40mph.Idk thats just me. Quote
